Just a little note to say a massive thank you to Hogarth's, in particular Gemma and Charlotte, for hosting our wedding reception last week. After the government announcement that numbers for weddings had been cut to 15 we had to have another replan for our wedding so just 2 weeks before the wedding we approached Hogarth's to see if they could help us out. They helped arrange us a private room, sit down meal and hosted us for a wonderful reception. Their help, flexibility and support made a very stressful time that bit easier. Thank you so so much! Jess and Harry
Quick note to relay our thanks to Hogarths and Charlotte for facilitating what was an excellent day for our daughter’s birthday, along with 3 of her friends (10/10/2020). Charlotte accommodated to all our needs and more, helpful and always on hand, thank you. Sanjay
We booked a mid-week 2 night stay in a suite for a particularly special occasion, which we notified the hotel of as part of our booking. We got to our suite to discover it was directly above ongoing building work - exceptionally noisy. When we told reception this, their first response was that the work would only take place between 8am - 6pm, as if we should just tolerate this! Perhaps if you were staying for business this would be manageable but we had no intention of being out by 8am each morning. When I asked for an alternative room we were offered nothing but downgrades on the room we had booked - I struggle to believe that all of the suites were fully booked as the hotel was completely quiet the whole time we were there... To add insult to injury we were offered a measly £20 refund for moving from a suite to a regular double room. Completely ruined what was supposed to be a special stay for us. The room we were moved to was fine but very dark and breakfast is limited due to covid restrictions - building work was still very loud within the restaurant as well so not suitable for anything other than an evening meal. As one of the best rated hotels in the area I had expected significantly better service.…
Stayed here two weeks ago to visit some friends and have to say it was a great hotel. It's a shame there was no cooked breakfast on the Monday (it's only at weekends at the moment), however the staff were so accommodating! The food was of superior quality too, it was very well cooked and could tell it was all fresh I highly recommend this hotel!
Had lunch with my partner who wanted to take me somewhere special. The menu was poor and had meals which we could not even envisage what they would be until seen! We ordered what we thought would me a salad! Unfortunately when it came it was a complete mix of mush.... Nothinglike what a salad should be! We told the staff how disappointed we were. We couldn't finish our meal and left the majority. It spoilt our day really as we would have stayed and had a desert and drinks. All the staff said sorry we didn't enjoy it. Needless to say we won't be going back to eat again!
