well the reviews that we have read did not match our review of the Shoe inn, the people who complain must have very high standards or complain where ever they stay this is not the ritz or any of those swanky overpriced places .the Shoe Inn gives you a value for money carvery and a hearty breakfast. the rooms are...

we were staying at the shoe inn romsey..on the web it does not state that the inn was under new management ,which they took recently , the new landlord did not give a hoot about our custom , swearing ,rolling fags at the bar, we asked to see the menu and got told its just the carvery, one meat that was...

We had a carvery this evening which was delicious! Definitely one of the best we have had around here. The staff were also lovely. We didn't stay in the hotel, just had dinner. I would say they could do with another highchair, but the food was lovely.

To reach the bedrooms we had to mount extremely steep steps in the open air at the end of the building. The room had nowhere except the bed to sit. We arranged breakfast for 8.15 but when we tied to get in the entrance to the inn the door was locked and in spite of knocking on the door for...

3 of us lunched there today (20/11/14) including a 91 year old. Although the menu is a bit limited the food and the service was excellent. I understand that it is under new management and wish them well. Would recommend it to anyone.

Rooms are basic & one I stayed in was quite small. As others have said, rooms at the front are very noisy from adjacent road (and to be fair it is stated clearly on the website) - there's no getting back to sleep from 6am on a weekday! Wifi (which is a must for me) didn't work at all in...

We really enjoyed our stay at The Shoe Inn, I don't understand why people complain about the noise as it's pretty well advertised, rooms on the far side are definitely quieter, but if your looking for silence surely you realise if you book a room in a pub on the A36, that's not what is going to happen. The food...

Do not stay here, the rooms are not very clean, the noise is terrible from the road and live music on a Saturday night will keep you awake as the party goers continue in the garden until well past 1 in the morning. Upon check in we were asked what time we would like breakfast in the morning which we...
