We stayed here several years ago but now the place is is need is a great re-vamp or evcen re-build. Althought the staff did what they could and the room was clean and comfirtable, it is now very tired. There was no evcening meal and breakfast has to be taken at the nearby Costa Cafe. The lodge is an uner average hotel with "ghost staff" They are never arounf when needed, either on arrival or departure. The procedure seems to be dragging somewhat out of costa coffee for any questions or help. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the "Hotel" is very tired and really needs an upgrade. Still very expensive for parking.

Myself and a colleague was booked into this "hotel" for a business trip to Northallerton. The hotel on the website looked ok and it had an onsite restaurant. On arrival, disappointment isn't quite the word. The outside looked as though it hadn't been painted for years - the paint was falling off all over the hotel, the wood looked rotten... More

Stayed for 1 night after a Ruby wedding party. The room (15) was a good size, very clean and quiet. The beds were new and comfortable and well made with nice linen. We were awake really early though as the light coloured, very dirty curtains let in the daylight at 4.0am, blackout curtains would be a good idea! The bathroom... More

The hotel itself was ok - it was clean and generally presentable if a bit shabby in parts, such as an unusable (apparently unsafe?) heated towel rail in the bathroom and a random plug in heater in the bedroom alongside what I'm guessing was an ineffective/noisy fitted heater - this was in what was titled as an Executive double.... I... More

Stayed last weekend with my wife . We have regularly stayed here due to it location . Although it suits are needs it is beginning to look tired and whilst the staff are all very helpful there are not enough of them ! On trying to check in there was a sign to go to Costa coffee for the receptionist... More

We turned up here at 9:00pm after our plans had gone awry. Fortunately there was a room available with a third bed. The hotel is showing it's age especially the bathroom which had broken fittings and bath panels coming adrift. Despite this, everything appeared to be perfectly clean. There was a decent amount of space in the room and the... More

Very conveniently located next to the A1(M) and close enough to make visiting the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales easy. The hotel is located amidst a hotchpotch of untidy car parks and the whole site, as well as the hotel itself, have a very run down appearance. Room was well equipped and in parts had been well refurbished, but still a... More

We used this budget hotel for an overnight stay whilst travelling south. Could not fault it really for a travel lodge type hotel. It has a Costa coffee shop attached where you can have a coffee/tea through the night if wished and the meals served in the hotel were freshly cooked, The staff were very obliging and welcoming.
