We were searching for a place to stay and having been unsuccessful in Masham drove on to find this super place. A warm welcome, very tastefully decorated room. We had the room up the steps, all rooms being at the back of the pub. Pristine white bed linen and towels, excellent shower and good food on offer. Friendly locals at... More

Having used the Castle Arms Snape on a number of occasions over the past two years, we have always been very pleased with the service accommodation and food offered in this inn in a pretty Yorkshire village that is off the tourist trail. Accommodation is good , clean and comfortable at a reasonable rate. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms have been... More

Very comfy double room in a courtyard setting at the back of the pub,in a very pretty village setting, with a ruined castle a few yards down the road! Weloming landlord, delicious evening meal, all my favourite things were on the menu! Breakfast next morning was scrummy, all local produce! Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.

A lovely pub with great food. The room was cozy and the staff friendly. The village itself was picturesque with a romantic castle ruin which Katherine Parr (the last Queen of Henry VIII) was said to haunt. Also a unique chapel to explore which had been part of the castle.

Great stop on the way south. Would go back. Lovely pub and delightful village! Just right for an overnight stay. Great food too! Ian and Lisa have worked hard to achieve a high standard in a short time, deserving much praise. Very comfortable and Cosy!

A lovely " Pub with rooms". Extremely comfortable rooms, beautifully furnished. Superb food for evening meal and breakfast. An excellent place to stay and in the very pretty village of Snape. Owners very hospitable and lovely staff. Weather was hot so we were able to enjoy drinks in the pretty courtyard garden.

After staying at the Castle Arms for a short well needed break, with a few requirements we were unsure of what to expect. Starting from the initial contact through to the pay the bill and leave bit. Nothing was too much trouble. Ian & Lisa (together with Riley and Max) their two loveable dogs and the rest of the team... More

Four of us ate here recently while on holiday in the dales. A friend travelled over to meet us from Manchester and had stayed here the night before he strongly recommended the food based on his experience of the hospitality and breakfast that he had recently. We got a booking at short notice and the proprietor was lovely and friendly... More

My wife and I stayed at the Castle Arms for 1 night and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. The owner was friendly and the locals in the pub made you feel very welcome. Breakfast was great, I would definitely recommend.
