Very disappointed nothing like the photos online it's all to do with what you can't see It is situated at the back of the old hall inn,the door of the cottage opens onto a large extractor fan belonging to the inn belching out offensive cooking smells The caretaker allows her dog into the garden but does not pick up (private... Lovely olde worlde pub in a quaint village setting with excellent food to die for , never had a burger like it . Four legged companions are made to feel really welcome not just tollerated and there is a difference.

On the whole we had a good stay here. Staff were friendly and the food was good. The room we had though was tired. The wallpaper behind the bed by the window was showing signs of damp and coming away. The walls don't mask the other guests noises. The shower room was definitely in need of some TLC. The toilet... We had booked a large double room on booking.com which is shown as 299 square ft. In reality it measured a little over half that size. The bathroom was adequate apart from the wash basin which was actually a small hand wash basin one normally finds in a wc and far too small to use for general ablutions. The room... More

We dined here twice during our stay at bridge house b&b over the road. We had wonderful food on both occasions and portions were very hearty! The atmosphere in the pub is lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you're going to have the fish and chips make sure you've starved yourself all day as its a... More

Just returned from a very good weekend. My wife and myself stayed in room 6 which was a double, it was very clean and bright the standard of the room was good no complaints at all. The breakfast was everything you want plenty of good quality ingredients. The staff were all warm and friendly would definitely recommend

Booked the 4 poster room, very dark, ensure looked very tired, gaps in grouting, shower head had a little black mound etc. We went out for a morning walk leaving our key behind the bar to return finding we were locked out! Had to find a back kitchen door and ask the kitchen staff to let us in. Breakfast first... More

My wife and I had a short break last week. Very old traditional English Pub. The floor boards creek and you can almost hear the voices of the Vikings that used to work the area. Excellent for touring the Dales and very relaxing when you want to wind down at the end of the day. Food good and not too... More

My husband wanted lunch out in the Yorkshire dales at a village country pub - the Old Hall not only ticked all the boxes but the food was great. They had two Sunday roast option, a specials board as well as their standard menu. We both ordered off the specials. My husband had fish pie and vegetables with a side... More

It's a couple of years since my sister and I have holidayed in her motor home in the Dales and we always enjoy an evening stroll to the Old Hall. We were joined by my brother in law who had popped up for the weekend and settled in for a few drinks before deciding on food. All of us enjoyed... More
