We visited the Red lion on Sunday 24th July. It was spitting with rain so was ideal as we'd just walked to Grassington and back, and its right there as you finish the walk. Its a busy pub/eatery, but we easily found a table inside. The young waitress was polite and took our order quickly. We ordered lamb. It took... More

After a long walk along the river, we(7) stopped at this pub. Large and busy, but of a log jam at the bar. Everyone was outside taking advantage of the good weather. Plus the added bonus of a travelling Morris dance troupe. Decent beer! Snacks available. Home made chips very nice.

Many thanks for taking the time to review us. We have had a very busy weekend and at times the bar was heaving! Glad you enjoyed the views, beer and chips. Hope to be able to welcome you back in the not too distant future kindest regards Eleanor More

We stayed here whilst walking the Dales Way, and it was BY FAR, the nicest accommodation on route. The room was spacious, well furnished with lovely features, and the food served both in the restaurant at night and the breakfast the next day were 5 star.

We held a celebration party for around 70 people here in mid June and everything was absolutely fantastic. We can't thank Sarah and her team enough for the support they gave. Their level of professionalism and organisation was second to none. The food was outstanding and the team helped to set up the rooms beforehand. Many guests also stayed at... More

We recently stayed here for a wedding, our room was in the Manor House part of the hotel - a lovely, large bright room with a decent sized bathroom (a bit of a squeeze for 2 people in there though) and there were Molton Brown toiletries. The room had plenty of room to walk around and get changed in etc,... More

Many thanks for you review, great to hear you enjoyed your stay, the Manor House is a smaller property but we do not generally get noise complaints. We are in a lovely part of the country and do have wonderful views and walks right from the door. We do hope to welcome you back kind regards Rachel More

This was our second time we went to the Red Lion Hotel in the past 3 years and we were walking out within 10 minutes due to the horrible service. First we went in asking for a table for three and we were 'pointed' to the back. We asked 'what table should we sit at' and in a harsh tone... More

Well known hotel, pub and eatery end of the line for walkers and cyclists. Great riverside walk from Grassington. Good beer ate by the river. Oxtail croquette good tasty and meaty taste but a little under seasoned. More fish with a monkfish and octopus ragout. Very very tasty and well cooked fish. Mounds of separate veg and gratin potato. Old... More
