Stayed for one weekend at Dibba Beach Resort Hotel. Before arriving, we were little bit concerned about what we will actually find after COVID there. However, we were extremely positively surprised to find that the hotel is very clean, with good services for the money paid and with extremely friendly, supportive and responsive team, particularly Mr. Mustafa, who also provided us lot of support and many advices in advance and while being at hotel. The dinner buffet is definitely worth of its around 70 dirhams / 16.5 euro per person. We enjoyed the broad beach with perfect sand and feel its serenity, the crystal clear waters and had the chance seeing the fishermen releasing two turtles back to sea on our beach. Made the tour with dhow / ship from the nearby port and took photos of the sea cave, rode the sea banana, had snorkeling, kayaking and fishing, plus and excellent lunch on board. Last day we entered on the road towards Khasab up to the pass and enjoyed the wilderness of Musandam. The rooms are large, all with sea view, with clean linen and large and comfortable beds and having fridge, safe and hair dryer. There is billiard, gym with tennis table and table football (not state of the art but still OK). Some items need some maintenance or to be replaced, especially the water pads at the swimming pool showers, but, overall, it is an excellent choice for the money, and we will definitely go again there, especially if the PCR test requirements from UAE side will be lifted.…
At the price level, I rate it very high. Hotel is not top art, but you get in my opinion more than you pay for. 1st of all next to a 5 star beach, you are more or less alone on the beach, we brought our snorkling gear and just jumped into the water, 350 meter left of the hotel you see the most amazing fish between the stones nearby the coast. The staff is most friendly, very good service. The restaurant is very cozy, again not top modern, but where can you get a good buffet for 60-80 dirhams per person and still say this is good food. Hotel organized a Dhow super Dhow trip with snorkling, kayaking, fishing and perfect lunch, a 5.5 hour trip for only 200 dirhams per person. We well for sure come back, and can only recommend others to do the same!!!
This review is about Golden Tulip Resort Dibba, associated with some good memories. The location is quite far from Dubai and the hotel is almost remote. Did not see any valet parking but, there are parking available for the visiting guests. the check in too hours which was not acceptable. Stayed for 2 nights on half board where I can say did not like the breakfast selection, but lunch and or dinner was kind of acceptable. Rooms where kind of small, old fashion but clean. The room service was poor as well as the customer service. Since this is a long ride make sure to have everything you need in place like medicines, enough cash, emergency numbers for friends, fully charged mobile and good car in perfect running condition.
We stayed here one night before we went fishing the next day. The staff were nice the room was average and the grounds were kept. Nothing really to complain about but nothing special either. It was in a convenient location.
Bathroom was required maintenance as shower tap broken. Boiler also was not working. Food quality is not valued for money which is served without plates. Overall we have wasted money for undeserved hotel. No plugs to charge your phone.
The rooms are large and some have connecting doors, so ideal for families with kids. Either to seek enjoyment in the Indian Ocean right in front of the hotel or to do some hiking in the mountains. It is a quite place and a very good change from busy Dubai. It does not need an Oman Visa, as the hotel will organize a road permit when booking at least 48 hours in advance. Dhow cruises with lots of things to do are offered in the harbour. The fish market there, twice daily is also very authentic and interesting to see.
Visa is not required here but border pass is required which is made ready by hotel free of cost. Passport copy and resident VISA copy to be sent to hotel in advance.for neccesary check and pass. hotel is good staff very friendly. recommended book pool garden room if you travel with family.
Pathetic resort with rooms soo old fashioned. Given the opportunity would never visit again. The lifeguard at the swimming pool was also very rude and didn’t even know to converse in English.and the worst part of it all was the buffet breakfast - neither variety nor taste . Poorly managed gym and snooker boards .
I unfortunately got a really bad rate for this hotel, so this is why I am extra critical. It was the weekend of Wadi Bih and I paid 2,000 AED for one night! The hotel is very old and has not been well looked after. The rooms are big. I had a room looking over the water which was probably the only nice part of the room. Everything about it just screamed "dirty", there were splash marks on the wall which looked like coffee had been thrown at it (I am not a coffee drinker so definitely was not me!), so clearly no one had bothered to clean the wall. The bathroom was clean but tiles were moldy and the bin was rusty. Hairdryer that looked like it was from the 1970s did not work, which did not really surprise me. Wifi router was on the floor and had some sticky brown stuff stuck on the back of it! The bed was large and comfortable which was another saving grace. I ate lunch in the restaurant, although there was not a lot of choice on the menu, the pasta that I ordered was actually quite tasty. I do though need to make a comment regarding the staff... despite the hotel being in such a dismal state, the staff could not have been more helpful... they were very apologetic when the wifi was not working in my room, and sent 3 different people to sort it out. All of them were very friendly and made my experience just a little bit better. I would not choose to stay here again.…
Me and my wife went for a weekend stay at the hotel . Started from Abu Dhabi around 9.30pm and reached Al Hisn border post around 1.30 pm. Visa is not required here but border pass is required which is made ready by hotel free of cost. Passport copy and resident VISA copy to be sent to hotel in advance.Once reaching the border post I called the hotel and Mr Mustafa sent his PRO with paper which took around 45mts to 1 hr to reach us. With the papers and passport we cleared and reached hotel around 2.45pm. Hotel is about 7kms from border post . Location is very nice and just on the beach. The rooms are quite big with sea view and a attached balcony. It is a great place to unwind for a day or two way from the hustle and bustle of city. Food is available in the hotel though not of great quality. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and enjoyed the travel back to Abu Dhabi via Khor Fakkan and Yabsa bypass road which itself is an experience driving through the mountains. …
