We stayed in their twin room for 3 nights in the beginning of July. The room is clean and cozy. The staff is very friendly, and knowledgable about nearby attractions. This place is located in a convenient spot where you have access to a few local shops and the grocery store is just 2 minutes away. The breakfast they served...

Two double bed rooms for 2 nights at the end of June, 2016. The rooms are in the ground floor in a seperate corridor, which gave a feeling (and silence) of a private suite. Both rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Dinner is served in two restaurants - a fancy and expensive one and another simple and...

Nice place in a quiet village. 5 minutes walk from the shop and the fjord. The breakfast though was not as good as in other hotels we stayed during the trip. The room was nice, we even had an electric kettle, tea, cookies and a sewing kit. All rooms were sold out when we arrived, so other tourists should book...

As part of a 5100 mile motorcycle charity challenge to circumnavigate the Baltic Sea, this place was chosen as an overnight stop for 6 bikers after a day in the saddle. The accommodation was a good size with plenty of room. The fact we had a lot of motorcycle gear didn’t matter either. The place was very clean and modern....

Valladolid is a nice stopover town and the Fiellro Turisthotell is a great, if not the only, option to somewhat full service accommodations. The main building is as the pictures reflect, full of charm and just a little kitschy. Behind and around the main building are multiple buildings with rooms, as well as pavilions for cookouts, pic-nics and activities for...

This quaint, family run hotel is simple and unpretentious. The family room was large, with a painted wooden floor and four separate single beds. The reception area is pleasant and light and serves also as the café. The breakfast buffet offered a generous variety. The dinner of reindeer patties was tender, but bland. The salmon was well prepared. The garden...

Friendly staff who are very helpfull, and happy giving suggestions on how you can make most of the local attractions. Clean rooms. Local bar, and restaurant with a limited menu with good Norwegian comfort food. Breakfast menu has a good selection including salmon. Good wifi connection.

Room and food was nice. But most of all we have been impressed by staff support in organizing complicated travel logistics off season. A very friendly and warm place. Great location on the way from Andalsnes to Geiranger.

First of all, the location is great because it's not directly on the road but rather at the foot of the mountain, which creates a very cosy atmosphere. And there are plenty of things to do in the area. Then, the hostess is very nice and helpful if you want to get off the beaten tracks. She really gives you...

We spent two nights at this lovely hotel in a family room and had diner in the fish restaurant of the hotel on the first evening. The room was good, although the small bathroom couldn't be locked. Minor issue. The food in the restaurant was good, but expensive. Breakfast buffet was allright, but not excellent.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fjellro is one of the protected original buildings in the old street "Syltegata", which gives the street its charm and character. The hotel has been run by the same family for many years, giving it a homely atmosphere and best possible personal service. Proud Sylte mountain rises directly from the bottom of the garden creating a special atmosphere both of dramatics and calm. Our garden is the ideal place for you who want to relax a while from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Here you can let your children play freely, well protected from the busy main road. If you need a break and somewhere to relax while contemplating the impressions of the day - Fjellro is the place, centrally situated in the heart of The Golden Route beside the national tourist highway. Our hotel is a great starting point for those who want to explore the mountains and fjords of one of the most beautiful areas in Western Norway. From here you can visit unique mountain farms, try white water rafting, fish in the fjord and rivers, take a guided tour along the famous Geiranger fjord, follow mountain trails for a few hours or many days, sleeping over in special guest cabins. ... more   less
