The old malasyan style houses are original and charming. Inside they are well equiped but full of holes. Nobody will take your luggages once you will arrve, carry everything by yourself...now you start to understand how is the level of the service! The bed it is not confortable, the mattress are too soft, like hostel mattress. They leave your breakfast...

A relaxing retreat just off the main road near the airport in Langkawi. Villas, or 'huts', are grouped around a narrow central pool, and each one has its own style and feel. Ours, Cahaya, was nicely tucked into a corner, and had a big main bedroom with a doublebed, and another small room down some steps at the back with...

My family and I (2A2C) stayed in the Black Coral house of Bon Ton Resort over 3 nights, and we had a very good time there (together with many family and friends there for a special wedding). All the houses at Bon Ton are old Malay stilt houses that were purchased from other parts of Malaysia, and re-assembled on location....

Beautiful traditional wooden Malay homes which are faithfully restored and wonderfully kitted out, a really delicious restaurant menu served in idyllic surrounds, Bon Ton was the perfect place to stay a few days. Weather dictated that my wooden house became a bolthole from tropical rains, which was kind of perfect. The continental breakfast included is delivered the night before, so...

Dinner at this eccentric but very pleasant tree-surrounded, cat-harbouring restaurant/hotel. The food was very good, the service a liitle less so. An interesting shop was a bonus. The staff were kind and very smiley. We'd go again

I can only reiterate what others have said in their reviews, this place was so relaxing and the scenery was great. My kids and I loved staying in the old houses that had so much old charm with a modern twist. Having the cats and dogs at the resort was a bonus, they were there but not overly obvious! The...

We stayed next door at the sister resort Temple Tree which is a lovely resort too but found ourselves gravitating towards the bar /restaurant and shop area of Bon Ton more often than not. The rescue cats are a delight and the lovingly restored houses are straight out of the 'Eat,love pray' ethos. The food was more than acceptable (...

The title sums up how we felt. Great balik kampung ambience, but much much cleaner, better maintained than your average kampung. Great hospitality from the staff, the house was serviced before we returned from our evening outing. The house was originally an old traditional Malay house on stilts but the interior deco was superbly done. Everything was in perfect order,...

Stayed only for a night but will definitely go back! These are village type houses which are lovely though it can get a bit warm during the day as the air conditioning is insufficient. The resident cats make themselves at home in the resort and the lovely dogs are at the shelter nearby where you can volunteer to take them...

Actually stayed in sister hotel next door. Enjoyed our stay, we had 2 different rooms during our visit. Both were unique, breakfast was very good and everything provided. Nicely located 10 mins walk from second largest town on the island. Would recommend.
