Not the easiest place to find without Sat Nav, but well worth the effort! I arrived at night so was unprepared for the breathtaking mountain view sweeping down to the sea that greeted me the next morning, along with tinkling church bells ringing out below.
Though the proprietors know more written English than spoken, they gave me a very warm welcome, and could not have been more attentive. My room was a spacious double and was very homely, with paintings on the wall, a writing desk, bookshelf and lamp, and the French windows opened onto a balcony which had a table and chairs, was festooned with flowers and overlooks the aforementioned view. Breakfast, which was served in a beautiful elegant living room, was a feast of fresh bread, cheeses, condiments, preserves and fruit along with your choice of cooked items.
It was a very quiet location and my sleep was only disturbed by the owners' cat miaowing, but apparently that was a one-off, he usually isn't allowed in the guest area... More
