I stayed two nights at the beginning off Feb. The staff were helpful and friendly. The accommodation was clean and not flash - just what I was looking for. The evening meals were very pleasant and the breakfasts very good. The beer in particular was great and on the Monday night the bar got very boisterous - but it did...

Had lunch just after Christmas by chance as venue we had intended to eat was closed. Then had baked haddock gratin which was lovely. Returned today to sit in their comfy armchairs by the open fire and we had fish and chips for £5.69. Large skinless, boneless battered cod with lovely chips, peas and tartare sauce. Bottle of wine under...

We were a large group staying for 3 nights and the staff at the Woolpack looked after us exceptionally well! The food and drink were sensibly priced and those on duty (Amy, Tina, Leane, Natasha etc.) did a superb job of putting up with us all with good humour and a smile. They even went out of their way to...

We were visiting my folks in a local care home and intended to repeat the visit the following morning so needed a bed for the night in the immediate area. I was originally prepared to stay at a Travelodge or Premier Inn locally but would inevitably have eaten at The Woolpack, being the only decent restaurant for miles around so...

Our first visit. We had asked for a table for four in a quiet corner and our request was cheerfully met. This proved an ideal venue for a meal and an extended chat with friends. Good range of choice on menu, fair prices, very friendly service. Thoroughly recommended.

Good sized room in a lovely country pub. Nice breakfast included. Good value. Only downside was the heating, despite turning all radiators off and opening the windows, the room (and hotel as a whole) was too hot.

Lovely village and lovely quaint pub with very welcoming staff. Comfy beds with clean white sheets and towels. Rooms a little dated as was the bathroom but clean and the food was really lovely. Staff were really helpful, breakfast was delicious and plenty of it! Next morning the pub was filled with locals having coffee mornings and it had a...
