"La Playa" is located at the beach, just in front of one of the best surf spots of North Peru. It is 5-7 minutes away from Los Órganos Center, 15 min from Mancora and 1 hour from Talara Airport. During the day you can lie down at our private beach and at night you can enjoy a wood fire under the best starry sky. Staff at La Playa can assist with airport transfers, food deliveries, massage appointments and laundry requests. Guests who drive can park on the premises at no cost and luggage storage is provided for free. The property offers complimentary welcome fruit and water. We want to say thank you to Exequiel and his staff Persi & Aldo for our wonderful 1 week stay at La Playa (in la Pirámide).
The place was very quiet when we went (August) and we loved our bungalow where we could relax, cook and enjoy our surroundings.
The staff was very careful not to intrude on our privacy, yet also friendly and made us feel at home.
What we were most worried about was the connection to the nearby town, but it was no problem at all. We would generally walk to Los Organos along the beach which usually took 20 minutes, and then if we had a lot of groceries we would take the MotoTaxi back, which would only cost 3-4 euros and take 15 minutes or so. The mototaxi drivers Alex & Augusto were very professional and it was very easy to get in touch with them when needed.
Finally, we were positively impressed by the little surf hut and beach break a short walk from la Playa, we surfed 4 out of 6 days there!
Overall incredible place, very relaxing experience and wonderful people. We would definitely go back and recommend to our friends & family.

Exceeded all expectations. Our only regret is we didn’t plan for more days. Make sure you seek out Waltaco, the dog who roams the beach and lodging. He’s part of the experience. Phenomenal views. Great weather. Absolute peace. Highly recommend for those who are considering.
It’s very isolated so be sure to pick up plenty of food and drinks to store in your villa. They are building a restaurant onsite which will be the final touch.
The villas look straight out of a magazine or movie. A few quick steps and you’re on a private beach. Will definitely go back.

Staying in La Playa was a wonderful experience, my gf and I have spent beautiful days and we definitely recommend it. Hosts are the best, Aldo and Victoria helped me in everything I wanted! The view, the pool, the private beach ... all is georgeus there!

This place is horrible! For starters the location is in the middle of nowhere, and hour ride from the nearest airport on dirt roads leading you far from any life. Next is the place itself, the bungalows don’t have air conditioning, no shower curtains, the one toilet doesn’t work, the heat is so intense you want to open windows but surprise here come the swarm of bugs, the only give you one sappy pillow and the comforters are used w matted feathers that poke you with every move, the ceilings are not sealed to the home neither are the bug screens. I would like to mention none of this was mentioned in any description or review of any sort, which makes you wonder if the people leaving the reviews are even real, also we seem to be the only people in the establishment. Yea this place might seem like your dream resort, but trust me we have been here five hours and this is living hell, help us!! I hate having to leave a bad review but if I was in your shoes booking a resort in a foreign country, I would want to know the truth behind a place before flying down here to be delivered with disappointment. Yes the place is cool, private pools, cool bungalows, beach access, but if your looking for a real high end experience at a resort, this would be the LAST RESORT!!

It is sad to see that you wrote so many incorrect things about your stay and our place... and that you never mentioned anything to our staff during the 4 days of your stay. How can it be a "living hell" if later in your tekst you say our place is "Cool"... If after 5 hours of your stay (knowing you arrived dark at 9pm at night) you write this type of comments, full of wrong information and before even being able to see the ocean, the beach or the rest of the place... it shows how incorrect this review is... Our place is only 5 min from Los Organos town... and there are several restaurants and markets at walking distance from our place. Yes, the airport is 1 hour far, what's the sin? We never mentioned that we have air conditioning... our rooms have ventilators at the ceilings... Shower curtains are not hygienic and our showers are all walking-in showers not needing a courting. All our toilets work perfectly and if something is not working properly somebody of our staff will come immediately to solve it after letting us know (we have 24/24 technical presence) . All our windows and doors have mosquito nets so it is impossible when opening a window bugs enter. If you need more or different pillows you could just ask our staff. (we noticed that you had 4 pillows in your bed because you took them from the other beds) All ceilings are completely sealed for small animals not to enter. How dare you to say that all our reviews are fake in Trip Advisor?... That is "Defamation"...it says a lot about you and your review. We know that you are 18 years and you might be frustrated for not being in a party place and being in such a peaceful place as ours, but that is not our fault. People Love our place.

Went here for a family, beach holiday. We stayed in the pyramid bungalow, which is very comfortable, with big double bed & TV in the upstairs (actually up-ladder!) room and 3 single beds downstairs, along with a well-stocked kitchen.
It should be noted that La Playa is more like a self-catering holiday let than a hotel, as there are no public areas, apart from an open-air hammock room, or even a reception. And breakfast is not included. There is a guy who lives on-site, does the cleaning and maintenance, and can help with transport.
Views are great, and it is very peaceful ... with a surprising amount of wildlife, especially birdlife, in the area. We saw a Humpback Whale from our terrace one morning, which was a treat.
The location is a quite a way out of Organos, so you need to take a bumpy 10-minute mototaxi ride (costing about $3) to get into town. Or it is a half-hour walk along the beach. You therefore need to plan ahead to make sure you have all the provisions you need.
A couple of caveats: 1. The internet is not reliable. It worked for 24 hours on first arrival, and then I was unable to connect after that. 2. There are some mosquitoes - not in huge numbers, but worth using repellent/spray at night. 3. The design of the bathroom is a bit weird and cramped, and you can't have a shower without covering the floor in water. The water was never warmer than tepid, either.
Overall, though, we were very sad to leave.

Pros: gorgeous view and nice unit that is well appointed. Has a fridge, electric cook top and a relatively full kitchen. Bathroom is nice with hot water (has been an issue in other parts of Peru). You can walk to town in 15 min during low tide, cabanas to lay out on, some amazing waves and surfers. Beach is pretty much private. Very quiet at night (except for the waves!). Aldo, the grounds keeper, is very helpful. Organos has a great beach as well. Has a hammock!
Easy access to nura (for turtles) and mancora(the Cabo San Lucas of the area with bars, etc) with mototaxi.
Cons: trip advisor mentioned free Internet and breakfast, we were offered neither. There were a lot of bugs everywhere, all the time. The window in the room had a screen, but neither door did. If they did we probably could have gotten a nice cross breeze.to keep the room cooler. We killed dozens if insects and still found a bunch more on the bed, around lights, etc. I even found a lizard under the fridge and guided him out to safety. No safe in our unit and you need a mototaxi ride back from town during high tide (we were charged 7 Solis). We got the guys # and would call/Text for him to pick us up. Also, there was construction during the day which diminished the quiet and privacy of the unit.
Would I go again? likely yes as I like the lay out but think it may be a bit over priced for what ive gitten else where in Peru. But the view!

La playa is a special place on earth where one finds a retreat in paradise.
The location is magical; the best on the beach of Los Organos, overlooking the ocean and sandy beach, free of crowds.
La playa offers several types of rooms, the pyramid and other bungalows all of which are beautiful and offer the most comofrtable and original stay.
I highly reccommend that you visit La Playa as it is the best in Organos, a magic beach in Peru where you will find peace and beauty.

La Playa is a wonderful place. It is so quiet and tranquil there that it is an ideal place to relax. We stayed in the pyramid bungalow and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The view is amazing, overlooking the Ocean, with spectacular sunrises and sunsets every day, a colony of birds resides on the cliffs not far away and we even saw a group of whales passing by.
The kids spend their time in the pool and at the beach, took surfing lessons, etc. While we took naps in the hammocks, read books and did some swimming.
Nearby are several nice restaurants where you can enjoy the local fresh fish. We did cook our own meals as well in the nicely equipped kitchen.
Even though it was Winter there in July, the temperatures were always in the mid to high twenties accompanied by a lovely breeze.
We would love to go back in the future.
