KaBeeLo Lodge ihas the nicest people I have ever met. They act as if you are the only there and their whole job is to see that you are well taken care of and fed. The Northern nd Lake Trout fishing on Confederation Lake is...More
All the staff is courteous and helpful and makes your stay great. Fly In's are pricey but this one is well worth it. We've always caught our limit of fish and had a great time. Their outpost cabins are comfortable and usually the only one...More

I would pick Sept as a month as bugs are usually gone by then and the weather is cooler which makes for good northern fishing as a rule. Some lakes are better for northern than others but the lodge can give you that info. From experience I can tell you that bugs can ruin a trip so the time of year is a big issue. Sept is a gorgeous time as there are not as many people due to school being back in full swing. Good luck and I hope your husband has a great time. Any wife who buys a husband a fishing trip is one great wife.
