We stayed at the Kriunes hotel for a week at the beginning of January. When we first arrived we were welcomed by the staff and told that we had been given a free upgrade from our triple room so a family suite! The room was very warm and comfortable and was beautifully cleaned every day when we were out. The...

Loved this quirky little gem of a hotel, the decor is less than luxurious but our room Was interesting and absolutely spotless! The staff are all lovely, esp the family that run it, Sarah and Steven were welcoming and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble! The food is homecooked and hearty, breakfast is divine, lots of choice and dinner is...

Friendly guesthouse and very welcoming. The road leading up to it is not the best and we thought we had gone wrong. Our bedroom was not what we had expected - mix up with a booking and was in need of renovation. The other rooms look good though. Decor was interesting. We stayed one night.

My husband and I visited from 9th - 13th January. We loved it! The hotel was in a lovely area, but slightly remote and so so quiet. The family who own and run the hotel, live on site, and even have breakfast with guests in the dining area. Highlights: Cosy, warm rooms with shower, hairdryer and comfy beds Plenty of...

Nice hotel in a nicer location. Very easy to get to town by public transport (10 minute walk up a hill then a 4 minute bus to Mjodd and a 10 minute bus to town - sounds complicated but once you've done it once it's a piece of cake) also your "return ticket" for a bus is actually an all...

We have just returned from a short break in Iceland and had a wonderful time. This family run hotel was a real home from home. The staff are so friendly and helpful, lending us chargers, suggesting places to go and waking us up for the Northern Lights. We had a family room with a lake view but it was more...
