This hotel is in the outskirts of Reykjavik in a residential neighborhood overlooking a lake. It is very clean and comfortable, and the guest lounge is especially nice. The décor is Spanish/Mexican, which seems unusual in Iceland, but it is quite attractive with lots of wood and tile. The dinner was family style and was very good and reasonably priced....

We stayed at this Hotel late January 2017 in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights. We were not disappointed and saw the NL over a number of evenings. As stated in almost all the reviews, the hotel is run by a lovely family, who were always happy to give advice or recommendations. The hotel had a lovely living room...

This extremely friendly, family-run hotel is simply perfect as a base to explore West/South West Iceland from. The hotel itself is beautiful, in a stunning location by a large lake. This means there is almost no light pollution, so when the Aurora comes, BOY do you see it! The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The food available is delicious...

We stayed for three nights at this hotel right outside of Reykjavik. My main two decision points were 1. Affordable 2. Be able to see the northern lights from there. I had so much more than I bargained for. The hotel is on the older side, but very quaint. I got sold the minute I entered. It has a nice...
