You have to try the mutton momos in soup. I haven't stayed but for the restaurant the food is beautiful. It has a lovely feel and atmosphere to the place. Perfect setting. Will always come back here for the momos whenever I can visit again. I love this place.

The food is really good and moderately priced. There is always a rush and lot of waiting to secure a lunch or dinner table. The menu has Tibetan, Japanese and Chinese dishes, we had Tibetan food. The waiters help to explain what the dishes comprise of.

We have stayed here many times on our trips to Mcleodgang. Lovely friendly Tibetan staff, especially Tenzin at reception. The beds and towels changed daily, very good restaurant, great choice of dishes. The rooms facing the valley have new balconies where you can sit out look across to snow covered peaks. Great standard for India, and value for money. Owned...

The Tibet Hotel is managed by Tibetiens, they have a seperate Vegetarian restaurant a few blocks away on the same road (towards Bhagsunath) and an amazing bakery in the hotel complex itself on the main road, my kids really enjoyed the chocolate muffins and Swiss rolls and we kept coming back for more ... Must visit their Bakery!

I have been visiting this place since last 23yrs and the taste of momos is still the same. Very authentic and sumptuous. A very well located hotel in McleodGanj. The view of Valley is awesome. One item which should surely be on ur list while visiting them is momos...... I bet you will say I was right.

“I was given a room downstairs, in the basement. But the hotel is on a hill, and the rooms are only on the hill side, so I actually had a view of the back area. Not a nice view, but a view. I think if I were to stay there again, I'd request a street side room upstairs, or even if it was a back room view, at least upstairs.”
  • View from a back bedroom, basement level. Eh.
  • These are the room rules. #12 was funny :-) but the ones about getting hot water are a warning s
  • Adequate furniture and electric outlets, but, again, not clean.
  • Toilet seat slips every time you sit on it.
  • The shower was basic at best, with buckets provided for bird baths
  • The room is decent, but not clean. Beds were adequately comfortable
