Rooms were very clean but simple. Shower water didn't smell, which uncommon in Iceland but welcome. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was good. Now the bad stuff: nothing was open in the town. Even the bar and restaurant in the hotel were closed. We had to go to Isafjordur for everything (food, activities). The town also stinks like fish...

I don't often give bad reviews because I know how subjective a travel experience is. But when you're traveling the west fjords, stay in Isafjordour. There is no reason to go,put to this place. When we arrived, we were downwind of the fishery and the place smelled of rotten fish. Then we learned that we could not have dinner in...

They really dont expect many tourists at this time of year yet still managed an excellent fish stew even with few people to serve. 2 for 1 happy hour till 7pm was also a nice touch. A delightful experience

We stayed here two nights and we enjoyed it. We had shared facilities but the bathroom was very big and clean so we were happy with it. Our double bedroom was very big, newly refurbished even though quite basic which is not a complain. The staff was friendly even though breakfast was not that rich as expected compared to other...

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel which was entirely adequate for our needs. Our two teenage boys had what was a family room so was big for them with a television. Our double room was smaller but still okay for what we needed. Beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet although we were towards the...

Staff was not realy friendly, the room was not realy clean, tiles were comming of the wall in the bathroom, the walls were realy thin and we could hear children sing an neighbours...

We have stayed at nearly 15 hotels in Iceland, this was hands down, the worst. They do not have black out shades on the Windows so the room stays bright all night. The wifi was spotty and we frequently were kicked of for a while. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything your neighbors are doing. Worst of...

We had a reservation for 2 nights but the hotel had us booked in for only one night, and that was for the second night. The hotel admitted that it was their mistake and arranged other accommodation in Isafjordur, Solheimer-studio apartments, which was an excellent place to stay. Very friendly owners and a sweet old dog that you just wan't...

We recently had a two night stay at the Fisherman and ate twice in the main dining room. The food is some of the best seafood you could have, fresh, properly prepared and served really well. Like everything in Iceland not cheap. But that is not the complaint. We had room six in the annex which should not be an...

We decided to stay here rather than Isafjordur as the reviews for the hotel seemed better than those there. The room we were given was itself clean and tidy. We had a reasonable night's sleep. Unfortunately the WiFi in the accommodation was on the fritz and wouldn't connect. We mentioned this to the hosts but they didn't sort out the...
