We spent 3 wonderful nights here in the stand alone family suite. It was peaceful, quiet, private, very comfortable for the 3 of us and very clean. The setting was lovely with a view of palm trees and the ocean about 100 yards away. The outdoor shower was a real treat. The grounds and the pool was heavenly. We spent many hours swimming and playing. Breakfast was simple but good and served at the bar in the mornings as the restaurant was undergoing renovations while we were there. The owner, Olivia, is very attentive and responsive to all inquiries. She has a wonderful staff and I would give a special 'shout-out' to Sergio. I believe Sergio is their site manager when Olivia and her husband are not present. He was there when we arrived and helped us with anything and everything we needed, from food recommendations to making sure that the little bat that entered our room one evening did not make a return visit. (He was cute but we did not want the freeloader spending the night). Sergio was kind, happy, attentive and just a joy to be around. Our only regret was that we did not get a chance to taste the food at Ai Mamita because they were finishing their remodel while we were there. We heard the food is amazing and the best place in town.

The whole place has a lovely beachy feel, the colour scheme is sunwashed pastels, and each room is individually and tastefully decorated. Outside showers just add to the experience. The restaurant was lovely, the food delicious and the service first class. Don't miss the cocktails. Nice pool area and in-keeping sound track Will be going back.

We stayed at Villa Coco for a couple of days - and to sum up in advance: We had a great stay! The place is lovely and has been created with a lot of attention for detail. This goes for the property itself, the pool and bar area, the restaurant and the rooms. Rooms are spacious with a huge and comfy bed. The air con works well. The outside shower was wonderful although sometimes lacking hot water (which we did not mind given the temperatures). Our room had a little terrace with two lounge chairs as well as a hammock. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. While the breakfast was really good, the dinner was amazing. As we stayed several days, we tried most of the dishes on the menu and never were disappointed. Tasty and fresh ingredients and inspiring recipes… cheers to the chef! The staff was also very friendly and helpful, everybody is happy to speak English in case you don‘t speak Spanish. We have had a look at other hotels in the village and feel confident to say that Villa Coco is by far the best place to stay. It‘s a little off the narrow and busy main road, but just a 10min walk or 2min by car. For us, this is a 5-star-rating well deserved! If there is anything that we could think of that could be optimized, it would be a more stable internet connection although the existing one is already really good. And maybe slightly reducing the volume of the music at the pool/bar area. Music selection was great but we personally always prefer the quietness… especially in places where you can listen to the sound of dozens of animals as well as the ocean. Dear Villa Coco team, many thanks for making our stay perfect! We‘d love to come again and will recommend your place!

The place is beautiful. The experience would be much nicer if the staff were a bit more friendly...it seems they don't actually enjoy having guests. They seemed upset with any question, didn't help with tours or getting around... randomly closed the restaurant with no heads up (there are no taxis or nearby options for food). Don't expect any help from hotel staff. Oh, and no doors in the barhrooms so no privacy.

Yep. They think it's ok to do that. In our case, they cancelled our 2 nights the day before our arrival. Because we were on the road, we missed that email and discovered this in the reception, Friday afternoon. So unreliable! It sucked.

Very disappointing and dreadfully expensive. In Jan 2021 I ate dinner there. Mixed drink US$7.00. Dinner — langostinos — cost US$20 and, first, the crawfish were barely warm and, second, they were served over a cold, repeat cold, tomato and bean something. Much better and reasonable places exist. A fantastic cev8che place and Jammin’ Pizzeria, where the mixed drinks were US$3. Avoid Villa Coco is my advice.

Went with some friends for 3 nights and it was a great experience. The hotel personnel was friendly and rooms were really pretty. The rooms are located in a way you have privacy and price is good when compared to hotels near by that are not as pretty as Villa Coco. Food is really good and the chef helped us with other recommendations of trips and places to eat. Will go back for sure

Beautiful resort. Very nice and stylish villas with airco, comfortable bed, outdoor shower and patio with hammock. Great place to relax and perfect holiday vibe! Friendly staff who are trying their best to make you feel at ease :) The infinity pool feels like heaven and is a great solution for the hot weather. Breakfast is really delicious, would have loved to try the restaurant as well if it was open! All in all a great choice to stay if you’re in Santa Catalina!

My husband and two year old son just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in Santa Catalina. We chose to stay at Villa Coco based on the plentiful and postive reviews and we weren't disappointed. It was beautiful in every way and the staff were very welcoming, accomodating and attentive. For us, it was the perfect fit... quiet, clean, friendly, and relaxing. Our son was overjoyed with the pool and playground, as were we. It was a place we all could enjoy. The location is central to both the beaches and the town. The restaurant on site - Ai Mamita - had the best dinner in town. Hands down! The owners and the staff work really hard to make this place what it is: an outstanding boutique hotel in the tropics of Panama! If you are thinking about visiting Santa Catalina, I would recommend checking out Villa Cocoa.

Probably the best place to be in Santa Catalina. The rooms are big and the private shower outside, in open air, is wonderful. Ideal place to relax at the pool after snorkeling in Coiba. The food in their restaurant is very good, dishes are top. A next time in Santa Catalina we will choose the Villa again.
