A limited menu (which is not a complaint), and the food was fantastic. Service supplied with a smile and a chat. Pricing very reasonable considering the unique setting of dining in a castle. A nice touch in offering a carafe of wine (3 large glasses) for €12 (I think?)

We had our wedding here in December. It was perfect and had the most wonderful atmosphere. The food was delicious, we went for the meal and then a pig on a spit later in the night which was also lovely. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Marie is a wonderful help in the run up to the...

We had a New Year's Eve wedding at the cloonacauneen castle, and can honestly say it was absolutely amazing. From the staff, food and atmosphere is was brilliant. Marie Laura and Andrea done a fantastic job looking after us, nothing was too big to ask or nothing was to much to ask. We went for the king and queen package...

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here last Friday, 9th December 2016, and we had a fantastic time. All our guests commented on the beautiful venue and the fabulous food. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Laura and Marie, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Would definitely recommend the Castle for a wedding. Anne and Vincent

My partner and I held our civil wedding ceremony and reception at Cloonacauneen Castle on Friday, 21 October 2016 and we could not recommend the venue, or indeed the proprietor and manager, Marie, highly enough. From our initial meeting with Marie in May 2016 right through to the day of our wedding, we found Marie and her staff to be...

Went here for a family wedding and cannot get over the setting and the surroundings. The food was excellent and the service was good and I would really recommend this quaint castle for a wedding venue.

Great wedding venue. We got married here on 29 April and we had the most amazing day. Roisin and Marie were so helpful in the run up to the day and on the day itself. The castle is so beautiful, the food was fantastic and the staff were great. We loved every minute of it.

What an experience. It's cliche to say it was more than dinner but that's really how it felt. The atmosphere was better than can be expected. The food was unbelievable. Easily the best meal I've had here in Ireland. The filet I had was the best steak I've ever had in my life. It will be hard to be beaten....

Ate there in February 2016. Staff was friendly, castle was spectacular and the food.... The food was so good that a word has not yet been invented to describe it. Therefore I am forced to make one up. Scrumtralecent. Get the prime fillet. Cooked to perfection and I am confident in saying that the garlic butter sauce is made from...

Traveling in Ireland our family of 10 came upon this castle restaurant. We were accommodated graciously and had a delicious, relaxing dinner. The vegetable soup was the best I've ever had and each meal was prepared to perfection and very reasonably priced. The service was impeccable. All agreed this was a highlight in our week-long family trip. This place is...

“I answered "mid-range" to how expensive the hotel is, the menu pricing was mid-range, I don't know how expensive it is to stay there”

“We were accommodated in the guest house which was suitable for our needs because of the larger bedrooms and the requirement for a family room. We got to have breakfast in the castle which was a lovely touch. There is limited accommodation in the castle but it did look amazing. I got the impression that if you are staying in the castle itself, you would really feel like the castle is your home.”

“Don't worry about noise from the venue in the castle bedrooms, if you go to bed early as we did no sound carries up into the tower!”
