Our second visit, we came for the food and were not dissapointed. Family of four : two sons aged 12 & 16. The decor is superb and makes you feel like you have been transported back to the days of coach and horses (with current mod cons of course !!) We stayed in a family room (no.9) , immaculate, spacious&... More

Very comfortable hotel. We stayed in one of the large double rooms which was beautifully decorated, light and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. We will definitely return to this lovely place.

This is a charming hotel - though unfortunatly the service doesn't match the quaint style of the hotel. The rooms are lovely and very well equipped and the public ares very comfotable. The staff are very serious, busy and quite surly and it didn't have the feel of a warm welcome to a counrty house hotel. The wording used in... More

Though the room was a bit small it was very well equipped and clean. The bathroom was very clean too. there was nice coffee and tea in the room. The breakfast was just perfect and served in a room with a great atmosphere. The hotel is traditional and beautiful and the staff is very kind and attentive

Stayed over for one night and ate at the restaurant before a sky dive at Netheravon Airfield. Enjoyed delicious high quality food and service in the hotel restaurant and a great nights sleep in the hotel, which although is on a main road, you would never know, it's so quiet. Made to feel really welcome, just wish we could have... More

We had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast and dinner were delicious . A special mention to John in the restaurant who couldn't do enough to help us. All the staff were lovely. It was lovely to have a drink in the garden too.

We had an overnight stay before a wedding in Stonehenge so the location of this hotel was perfect and is a lovely character property. The room we were given was a small double at the very top of the building which when we entered had air conditioning on so all was ok at this point. However at night the the... More

A friend and I enjoyed a pleasant meal here on Sat night. Quiet on arrival but soon filled up and nice not to have a restaurant which is overcrowded with tables and seating. We didn't book but were seated in main dining room. Service was immediate and friendly. I enjoyed the ribeye steak and friend had the butternut squash lasagne... More

Very help hotel staff. We were cycling and needed somewhere to lock up our bikes and the hotel accommodated this and also allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel for family to pick up later. The rooms were clean and provided water and good selection of quality drinks. The evening meal and breakfast were also good.

We stayed here for only one night (unfortunately) on our brief tour of Wiltshire...the best nights sleep we have had for a long time! The bedroom was inviting...the bed excellent and the atmosphere very homely. Breakfast had such a very good choice for everyone. One foreign gentleman asked what he could have off the menu, and when the waitress answered... More
