The hostel was clean and tidy. Decently stocked kitchen. Nice clean showers and bathrooms. However, the mattress in the larger rooms need to be replaced. You can feel every spring and they are squeaky. Prepare yourself as you may have a sore back in the morning. The farm attractions are an added bonus.

Welcoming staff, who explained everything & showed me to the room. We did book a 6 bed female en suite room, we were placed in an 8 bed room without an explanation. The farm was amazing & we had a lot of fun on the tree top trail. Kitchen was stocked, & we were able to use some items for... More

I stayed here after returning from Isle of Wight, with the intention to visit the Hawk Conservancy. The hostel is attached to a farm, cost included access. I opted for single accommodation, which was a two bed room. The farm has rare breed animals including pigs, sheep and goats. The breakfast costs around £5 and is very good. The is... More

I had to stay at Chorlderton Youth Hostel for 2 weeks in feb/march as I had a temp job in Salisbury. The staff are extremely helpful and accomodating. They were often going the extra mile to help too. I also met a lot of interesting guests and enjoyed my stay here very much. I would suggest bringing a car as... More

This is a good hostel located on a farm, well deserving of it's four star rating. It is close to Stonehenge and Salisbury, both well worth a visit, the hostel is in a quiet location and suitable for families, some rooms have private facilities. The breakfast is extra but well worth the cost. The farm is also worth visiting.

This hostel is fine, but when we were there it was cold and only two others were staying so it felt very empty and a little strange. But it is a tidy hostel. They do ask guests to park in the neighbouring car park about 50 meters along the road so at night it was a bit daunting if we... More

The staff were excellent, in their help with bus times, meals, and in general. The only thing 'wrong' was that in the two bunk room we stayed in there was only one chair and a table would have helped, there was plenty of room for both. Just to be able to sit down and write notes, etc. would have been... More

The YHA seem hell bent on selling off their |hostels in the south (Stow, Salisbury, Portsmouth, Sevenoaks, Hastings and Winchester to name but a few) so it was a pleasant surprise to find this one open and geographically well-placed. You'll need a good map or a sat-nav to find it as it tucked away, but the staff are pleasant, the... More

Stayed here with 2 friends the night before a 26 mile trek around Salisbury area (so needed a good nights sleep!). We drove over from London on the Friday evening and the manager, who lives in the flat about, was very amenable to our late arrival and let us in by contacting him by telephone. Service went above and beyond.... More
