Wonderful tranquil setting adjacent to an amazing piece of New Zealand Coast line. Visitors have the choice of many outdoor activities in the area and the mountain biking is superb. Loved the sauna complex and I had a massage which was fabulous. Breakfast was also...More

Although we didn't utilise the full facilities of the resort, we had a most wonderful, relaxing and "just what the doctor ordered" night at Kimiora. The meal at the restaurant was A+. A Beautiful, peaceful, harmonious experience... bliss! We'll be back!

Had a relaxing stay at Kimiora, including a wonderful massage. Though the rooms are a little dated ( pine wood walls) they are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Bed was clean and comfy and the spa bath in its own little conservatory was a welcome...More

There are bus/shuttle services that go from Nelson to Kaiteriteri. I didn't use it as we had a car when staying there, but they are daily and most likely more than 1 a day from various companies. Once you've booked your accommodation, I would suggest you contact the resort directly and ask them to either advise you which company to use, best way to get to them or they may even be able to organise a transfer for you from Nelson. They were very helpful and lovely to deal with when we stayed there.
Its a short walk from the main beach up to the resort although not the easiest with luggage.
A beautiful part of the country and you can get water taxis from the main beach up into the National Park for day trips if required. So you can see a lot without needing to have a car (as long as you are able to walk short distances).
I can recommend sea kayaking in the area and an overnight stay at the Awaroa Lodge near the top of the park if you want to spend a bit of time walking some of the tracks. There are plenty of day trip options too where you can visit some lovely beaches, and seal colonies and do some walks.

Hi. Kimi Ora Resort is about an hour from Nelson I am unsure of the buses that go to Kaiteriteri as we have never had to use them. The other alternative is to hire a car for a couple of day's. That will give you the freedom to look around a bit & you will want to as it's a beautiful part of the country.
