Trees growing out of reception and along the corridors, nicely appointed bed rooms, beautiful surrounding nature. Restaurant food not brilliant: as often in Cuba half the items on the menu, or more!, were unavailable. Food itself was the indifferent. Even breakfast was a bit of a let-down, compared to all the other places we'd been to, which include Casa Particulares....

Our second hotel in Cuba was in the hills of Los Terrazas - a community that was formed after the revolution! We debated whether it was a ghetto or a really good community project and decided on the latter. This hotel has a tree as a centre piece - it's quite lovely and creates conversational discussion at the reception area....

Rather dated hotel, but an enjoyable place for a night. Quite large rooms with bathrooms overlooking the forest. The bathroom window frame was rotten with all the water from the shower, but generally the room was comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet, and better than some we experienced in Cuba. Several restaurants within walking distance including a vegetarian restaurant, which served...

We spend one night during our round trip at Hotel Moka. Therefore, there was not much time to find things to complain about. The hotel and room was nice and clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Of course the location is awesome! Having a drink at the bar up at treetop level with view down to the lake causes...

We stayed at Moka Hotel for two nights, after leaving Vinales and before moving onto Cienfuegos, and absolutely loved it. A beautiful setting within the commune of Las Terrazas, a Unesco biosphere reserve. We talked to other tourists during our trip, and only a handful had heard of the place, so try and fit it into your visit if you...

Hotel set in the commune of Las Terrazas but separate. Rooms are fine, with great views, if a little dated - but this is Cuba! Has a swimming pool and good bar. Didn't try the restaurant in the evening but breakfasts are good. Cubans do great breakfasts.

A the hear of the "Biosphere Reserve", the natural park of Sierra Del Rosario, we stopped off here for coffee and drinks while we explored the reserve, with the great advantage of it having wifi access. Architecturally, the hotel is very simple, with open balconies, matching in with the style of the buildings at the heart of the Reserve, including...

We stayed here for 2 night, the rooms had amazing views and the complex was very nice. Great pool and areas to relax and take in the views. Walks down to the town below are well worth doing, using the steps for quick access but don't use them in the dark as not very well lit. Use the tea/coffee place...
