Very adequate, nicely located, all amenities are there. Great for venturing out on the island, as most of the attractions are walkable. Ballum is also an interesting town with a fascinating history. Great restaurant, also. Breakfast is just so-so...

We stayed here on a 1 night stay at the lovely island of Ameland - which is best explored by bike! We enjoyed the comfortable and stylish environment of the hotel in the old village of Ballum - it's a nice contrast between old + new. We dined at the restaurant, which is not open daily, but the menu from...

How interesting it is to sleep and cook in an old church! The ceiling is high but there is no air-conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to show your culinary talents. Don't miss to enjoy a sunbath or starry sky from the little garden. For our Nordic friends, you can have a private sauna in your suite!

Don't get me wrong, this is an OK place to stay, nice location, the cafe is a cosy place to have a drink or a meal, but the hotel does not meet the expectation that one gets from their internet site. They try to portray the place a design hotel, but in too many details they go wrong to get...

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend away to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. After arriving on Ameland by ferry, we took a bus to Ballum, which took 10 minutes roughly. Ballum is a tiny village; apart from the hotel, a bike rental place, and a supermarket, there is not much there, but it’s really quaint and quiet, perfect...

A pleasant hotel, very good breakfast buffet, culinary restaurant, good food and tasty wines. Very nice café (it is said to be the cosiest café on the island!) and terrace. Rent a bike and enjoy the small island Ameland. It's worth it.

Stayed in one of the suites - quite large, and with a jacuzzi bath. A beach theme was suggested in the white room by slatted wooden room divider and bed headboard. Staff were pleasant and there is a cosy quirky bar and an excellent restaurant (see separate review). Only downside was no way to cool the room - we requested...

Stayed here 2 nights with the boyfriend while visiting his sister and her family who were vacationing on the island. I must say I was surprised to find a hotel so modernly decorated on the island. We had a suite which was sizeable and included a mini bar, a large sectional type chair with ottoman, and a round table. The...

We stayed in the church suite of Hotel Nobel and found it very special. Intersting and quirky design, very well-stocked kitchen in terms of appliances with an excellent coffee machine. Can sleep up to 6, though 4 is probably better, as the third bedroom is not separated at all from the common areas. However, for this price I do expect...
