Only stayed here one night, but the site is beautiful. Tranquil forrest surroundings; a great starting point for walks or bike tours. The room was spacious with a good size bathroom en-suite. Breakfast was superb; a variety of breads, eggs, bacon, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, luncheon meats and much more. Great place for a weekend getaway!

Are you looking for a relaxing nature filled place to stay then this is the place for you! The hotel is surrounded by beatiful countryside perfect for walks and (electric) bike rides (hire available at the hotel). Dinner buffet is very nice choices from vegetarian, meat and fish and plenty of it. Breakfast has lots of choices. Staff are friendly and... More

Lovely location in leafy countryside, nice large rooms with well appointed ensuite, although the floor can be very slippery when wet. The beds were large and comfortable. The restaurant offers an excellent fixed price buffet and you can eat outside weather permitting. Definitely worth another visit

Set in a quiet rural location with lovely grounds around the various hotel buildings. Nice large terrace in the garden to enjoy drinks/afternoon tea. Our room was fine, comfortable bed, decent size room and bathroom. The only downside is that the room doors shut very loudly unless you take action to make them quieter. This made it quite noisy first... More

Friendly staff at the frontdesk. Normal size room with two small beds and (personal) soft matrass. Bathroom is Ok . The included breakfast is Ok but nothing special except that you can bake your own egg.

This hotel once started off as a hospital and later a sanatorium before becoming a hotel. There are still a lot of the old elements left and you can ask at the reception for a tour of the building. It is set in a lovely wooded area with loads of nature trails, walking and cycling routes in the vicinity. We... More

Our staying in hotel Ehzerwold was really nog bad. You really need a car during the trip because the hotel is rather far from the village Almen.Though there were very many people at the time we were there, it didn't feel full: there was much room in the area. Breakfast was fresh, but there was not a big choice. That... More

Top location for biking and bush walking along Dutch rural sceneries. One can rent bikes in the hotel. Rustic old trees surrounds the hotel thus refreshing. Fresh air dominates the ambiance. Restaurant is cozy and pleasant with mix decor of antique and modern. In a conservatory or outside terrrace. Breakfast is very varied. How I love frying my own bacon... More

Beautiful surroundings and big garden. Room was fine but a bit noisy when people chatted on the corridors. Breakfast very good, lots of choices and nicely presented in the old kitchen. Main building was beautiful.

It is not a modern design hotel but on the opposite of it. This hotel was used to be a sanatorium, surrounded by nature, has warmth atmosphere and an old kitchen. Good restaurant, friendly staff, clean room, free wifi and enough parking area. This hotel does something for the environment. When you hang a sign on your door that you... More
