We just spent a weekend at this B&B in a lovely corner in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
The owner's of the villa have carefully restored a wonderfull monumental villa just outside the little town of Almen. Overall experience was good, but spoiled by something I hadn't heard before...Last night we entered our room and found that it has not been made up at all, quite a surprise for a B&B that charges € 100 a nite...Upon questioning the owner, the first response I got was, "this is a B&B"..now I really was flabbergasted!!Upon second try, the owner mentioned, that she had apparently explained her "B&B policy", you stay for the weekend, we don't make up your room. She didn't, can happen.I would have expected something like this at the youthhostel, but not here!! I also have to make a comment about the italian restaurant recommendation in town. Although the town and the restaurant are definitely quaint, price/quality got a bit lost. Paying € 50... More
