The Krasicki Hotel**** lies in the heart of Lidzbark Warmiński, a town known for ages as the Pearl of Warmia. This idyllically-located hotel lies where the Lyna and Symsarna Rivers fork, marks the historical outer ward of the seat of the Warmian Bishops - and is a most precious tangible testimony to the history of Warmia and Masuria. The style of the elegant rooms and apartments of the Gothic and Baroque section of the Hotel refer to the original aesthetics of the building's construction. Their names recall the eminent guests of Lidzbark Castle: King Leszczyński, Sigismund III Vasa, John Sigismund of Hohenzollern, Tsar Paul I... Here these historical figures gave in to the pleasures of the body and soul, admired nature, watched the sky of Warmia, drank exquisite wine, listened to concerts, discussed, read... And this is what our guests too may do today. They have at their disposal 125 rooms providing altogether accommodation for 250 visitors. The BIBLIOTEKA Cafe and ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY are unique offers. The BIBLIOTEKA Cafe's impressive book collection welcomes readers of carefully-chosen literature of the world. A book with a cup of coffee or, favoured by "the Prince of poets", hot chocolate, undoubtedly tastes exceptional in such surroundings. The astronomical observatory, open-to-visitors, which is located in the clock tower, pays tribute to the author of heliocentric theory once residing in the Castle, the eminent astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. The tower OBSERVATION DECK also allows one to fully take pleasure in the beautiful scenery of Lidzbark Warmiński and its surroundings. Famous for her outstanding beauty, Saint Catherine left in her old books recipes for preserving looks and vitality. The SPA&WELLNESS centre, located on the ground floor, gives our guests a chance to surrender to relaxing rituals, recover, and find a harmony of the body and soul. The lovers of baths can opt for a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, or gym, while enthusiasts of high temperatures can visit a sauna complex. Inspired by regional customs and always based on top quality ingredients, our cuisine combines traditional methods with advanced culinary techniques. It mirrors the character of the locality, but also draws on all parts of the world. Dressed with seasonal vegetables and fruit, it offers a pleasantly memorable experience to our guests within the interiors of the elegant RESTAURANT, CLUB HALL WITH WINE BAR and LOBBY BAR. The WOODEN BRIDGE of the Hotel over the castle moat is an inherent part of the extraordinary history; while the castle marina offers GONDOLA RIDES along the picturesque and beautifully located Lyna River. For those who like to combine rest with work, the KRASICKI Hotel has prepared a wide range of conference services (7 air-conditioned rooms with equipment and technical services). It is here, in the castle, where several great leaders and diplomats from Poland and Europe have met: Jan Dantyszek, Stanisław Hozjusz, Marcin Kromer, John Albert Vasa, Charles XII of Sweden, and Napoleon Bonaparte. In the KRASICKI Hotel tradition meets the present, as such was the nature of its host - Krasicki, an outstanding man of the Enlightenment, a poet, prose writer and essayist. With his interests and excellent style he has moved not only specialists in Polish studies but also journalists, politicians, clergy, teachers, economists, art admirers and representatives of many other professions. The KRASICKI Hotel is the heart of life and hospitality. The cultural and historical enclave is honoured to welcome you today. The rich history of Warmia, its monuments and nature, the magic of Lidzbark Warmiński with its surroundings, the gondola rides on the Lyna River or a walk down the Symsarna River valley all contribute to the charm of this outstanding residence, filling the moments spent at the KRASICKI Hotel with positive emotions.

The castle is an excellent choice for a few days' stay in this part of Mazury. It has lots of nooks and crannies to explore, being a bit of a maze, but that also makes it a bit of a joy :-) The food there is excellent. Dinner, breakfast, coffees and desserts, all top notch. The drinks/wine were particularly good too. The service is not perfect, but definitely good. The atmosphere, lighting, ambience, design and colours are peaceful, claming and great for some peace and quiet. The courtyard and bridge are great for ice cream and coffee, the clock tower is a worthwhile visit, as is the amazing library. The cookies are worth signing up for, so that you get them on arrival. They are excellent! The aqua zone is good, with steam room, sauna and pool, and a jacuzzi that is very relaxing. Sadly we couldn't do the gondola ride, but next time. I'm sure we'll be back. I definitely recommend it highly.

I loved the hotel at first sight. I remember the area around the hotel today as being very unkempt, smelly and virtually unusable. And suddenly a hotel was built here. My first visit, with the group, right after opening - it was this love at first sight. The people who work in the hotel are its greatest value. But also - rooms, excellent and very comfortable. Delicious cuisine. The surroundings are extremely important, because the hotel is located within the former seat of Warmia bishops. So history peeks at us from every corner. And on top of that - there is also an excellent spa in the hotel. And well-prepared drinks in the bar ... In a word - if someone wants to get away from everyday life, to be pampered and taken care of - it is necessary to give yourself time for a weekend (at least a weekend) in the hotel.

For the 1st May weekend, we travelled to this lovely Hotel and enjoyed a lot the hospitality. GREAT staff and lovely people working there. There were only 2 things disturbing. - Coffee not very good in the Hotel and I did mention that to the staff, so hopefully, this is going to change - The door to the wing, very loud but let me explain it What we really did enjoy is, that we were able to bring our dog. And what I really appreciate is, that we were in a different wing of the Hotel, then other guests. We might didn't have such beautiful rooms like others but our rooms were also very nice. The trouble with the door was, that to enter the wing, the door always did bang very loud and the whole room was shacking and we also did mention that. Can be disturbing in the evenings. As I mentioned, very nice people working there, the food was also very nice and we had every day something else. IN the morning, you even had two people, preparing you a meal with eggs, very nice. They have activities and also a club, bar and I do not know what else. There is a nice museum, we had a nice walk and I was also told, in town they sell very nice ice cream, which is famous all over Poland? Because there is a spa in the Hotel, you can have all sorts of massages and other treatments, we did try many of them and did not regret it. I do not see, why not going again, we had a short lovely time and can only recommend it :)

A hotel created in a historic setting. A former Bishops resident, that has been restored to a very pleasant, welcoming hotel. The setting is beautiful, with various thing to do within and outside the grounds, a short boat trip along the river. A guided walk around the local points of interest. The rooms had the extra charm of the original brick work,It can be fun finding your room as it’s not built like a conventional hotel. The food was excellent, different choices every evening, good portions and you could return to try all. Cakes and fruit also available. Thankful there was a spa to help remove the calories, with massage and beauty treatments for a not so expensive extra. All in all a holiday enjoyed by the whole family.

My two night-stay at the Krasicki was the second destination of a two-week-roundtrip through Poland. In my experience, it is the perfect location to explore the northern part of Ermland-Masuria. A lot of famous castles and manor houses are within a short drive from here as well as tourist attractions like the "Wolfsschanze" and the "Mamerki Bunker". Since my room arrangement did include breakfast & dinner I got the chance to enjoy the excellent cuisine at the hotel's restaurant. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly & attentive - despite some language barriers ;) Also, I want to comment on how professional the hotel dealt with all the COVID-19 requirements. What I didn’t like about the hotel is that the two restaurants as well as the bar are located in the basement; so there is no chance to get some fresh air or just have a look outside. Regardless of that I will stay at this property again when I'm back in Masuria.

The first two days were really great. After all, the hotel is beautiful, not doubt about that. And the food at the restaurant was amazing. Plus, the museum was beyond amazing, and the pool was great too. We had the Junior Suite for a room, it too was almost perfect. Thus, the hotel definitely deserves four stars. But for a fifth star, it needs to improve several things. Therefore, as I said, the first two days were really great, but then we started to observe certain things. For example, we tried out the massage, but unfortunately, we were not asked whether we wanted a male or a female massage therapist. The massage was really good, and professional. Nevertheless, they should have asked about whether each of us wanted a male or a female massage therapist, as a courtesy to the client. In the restaurant, one waitress was amazing. She was polite, she asked if we liked the food, and you could feel that she cared about the people dining there. On the third day, we got a waitress that did the opposite. Me and my family, we observe these things, and we are always warm and kind, and we like when people are the same way towards us. This new waitress was not. Later that day, in the bar, the male waiter who prepared drinks, was also great. You could see that he was stressed, and had a lot to do, but nevertheless, he was kind and did all the work without complain. The same new waitress together with a yet another new waitress just stood there, doing nothing. Drying some glasses, at one point, but otherwise doing nothing to help out the male waitress. Thus, the female waitress in the restaurant and the male waitress in the bar were amazing. The other two female waitresses should be fired. Their lack of knowledge and skill about how to make this hotel experience amazing is why this hotel does not have five stars, and why it might drop to three stars in the future. Thus, the hotel rooms and the food was amazing, but some of the employees need to learn how to be around normal clients who are kind to them and expect the same courtesy in return, and how to work as a team because standing around doing nothing while one person does all the work does not look good for a professional hotel. Last but not least, we had 25-30 degrees Celsius in the hotel, all the while the room, as amazing as they were, did not have air conditioning. We got air fans, and they worked ok, but still. For a fifth star, air conditioning is necessary.

Hotel Krasicki is located in a rather stunning castle. The rooms are well equipped, although our shower was leaking which caused major flooding - we let the reception know, they sent someone but to no avail - only a dam constructed by my wife with towels somehow solved the issue. The food was ok - the staff tried their best to acommodate the guests with the covid restrictions in place. A few touches could have been added to make the experience better (like offering other drinks than just water to be purchased and brought to the tables).

Nicely renovated and best historical complex in that area. Nicely renovated for hotel purpose, modern groundfloor and swimming/spa part. Anyway colorful paintings on swimming pool walls are a bit trashy. It could be useful to add AC in the rooms, because even in North Poland, thaere are usually 2 hot months on the level of 30 C or more.

This hotel is nice with an interesting historic background. In the top of the hotel you find a library which belonged to Copernicus and in the front of the hotel an interesting museum. The town's name was earlier Heilsberg, and here it was a battle between the French and Russian armies during the Na-poleonic wars. We really liked the hotel, above all the pool area but also the restaurant where we had a wonderful dinner. Also the breakfast was really good. The room, though, could be better. The furniture is nice but not practical at all. It was for example easy to get hurt when passing the table’s feet, above all during the night when the room is dark. In the room it was no Internet and the connection was bad in the other parts of the hotel. To recommend a stay? Yes, absolutely.

We went to Krasicki at the end of April / beginning of May. Concierge service was very helpful. Quality of room was a nice suprise (web page pics are not convincing). Room was clean, spacious, with lots of light. Bed - very comfy. Bathroom - clean, big and comfortable. Possible improvements : (i) better quality of towels; (ii) bath robe should also wait in the room. SPA/pool - pool is quite large as compared to usual hotel pools. However, there is no gym area - a "mini gym" room does not really count. Restaurant / bar was the biggest dissappointment. Our waiter guy during first evening (we were like one of 4 tables in the room) was unpleasant, ignoring us, didn't remember our orders, kept us waiting 40 mins and yet forget part of the order. This is unacceptable in any kind of place serving food! During a 3 days stay only one waiter (a lady) demonstrated quality service - very kind and helpful, sort of a waiter you really like to dine with. Food was ok, nothing truly splendid, but good. Bar was a joke - they were closing at the same time as the restaurant - 10pm! The bar is open long hours during weekends only (we stayed during the "long April/May" weekend). Sort of a school- camp style. Definitely not something you would expect at a 4* hotel. All in all - still a very nice hotel, clean and spacious. However, if you project an image of a 4* hotel, act like one! Restaurant service and availability of hotel facilities should be improved.
