Polite and professional hotel service, although I did not check their language skills, but I think they would do well. At the beginning I would like to announce that I have stayed at the Duo Hotel, not at the Sosnowa Residence. Explanation about stars. I would give 3.5 from my travel experience. Standards in the world are a bit different than in Poland, also stars are not an objective reference point. In addition, there are other advantages not found abroad. Even free parking. Rooms neat, regularly cleaned. Breakfast almost like a high-class Caribbean resort (will not come out starving). Lack of a professional coffee barista is a minus. A high-level restaurant that promotes local products (respect for this). The bar may not be round the clock, but it was not a big problem to get a beer or a glass of cognac after hours. As for the room itself, there is generally nothing to complain about. The most important thing for me was that the air conditioning worked without any problems. Someone may find that instead of one king mattress there were two twin size beds. I do not think that this is a drawback worth attention. The most important thing it was comfortable and I gave my rest to the annoying sciatica. The lack of a lift is one of the minuses, so the service should offer to deliver your luggage to the room. Small things are the lack of a safe box in the room (It happened to be without, and for travelling guests, especially foreign is the basic room equipment) and so-called "do not disturb" information for cleaning staff not to disturb the rest. What else? By the way, room No. 66 would need some painting. Not that I am a picky guest, but someone else could pay attention to the stains on the walls and refuse accommodation. However, I tried to use my stay to observe and honestly describe them. I could not check some things out during a few days of stay how the spa works (I will leave it to my wife the next time) and ordering food to the room. The surrounding area is as always a unique, representative and beautiful surroundings of the Janów lake and Janów woods. A lot of opportunities to spend time in nature (walking, biking, horse riding, water sports). Regards for Mrs. Iwona. Respect for the introduction of European standards in Janów, and perhaps worldwide soon. Regards, guest incognito.

Please avoid, very rude and unhelpful owner. They really don’t deserve 4 stars. Location yes. Rooms are small and the standard is far away from 4 stars. Staff was acting like they don’t care and lacking experience. Everything is overpriced and small variety.

Going on holiday to Poland for 2 weeks to stay with Family, we wanted to treat ourselves and them to a relaxing few days away. With the Spa facilities we were drawn to Hotel Duo Spa and booked for £50 per night with Breakfast and Spa Access. Even without the Spa access this was a bargain. All the staff were extremely friendly and genuine. Check in was seamless and set the tone for the rest of the stay. Were given 2nd floor rooms bang in the middle of the hotel with fantastic views out over the lake, whilst being within perfect distance of the Spa and reception. Room had all the facilities we could ask for with fridge, tea/coffee making and a decent wardrobe. Clean, well kept and with a gorgeous room scent from a room spray they must have just prepared for us. Large bathroom with powerful shower and all tastefully designed. Wow! Breakfast was vast and all fresh. Cereal, yoghurt, a selection of meats & cheese, salmon, tuna, sausage, rolls and bread, fruit. All the coffee styles you could imagine and fresh juice. My goodness the breakfast was amazing! Spa was impeccably clean, with a nice compact swimming pool, jaccuzi with views of the lake, a steam room and sauna. All the key components for a relaxing time. We hired bikes for the day for 20zl each and with miles upon miles of safe cycling tracks through the woods behind the hotel, we had an amazing time exploring. Highly recommend doing this. The food in the restaurant was again fresh, well presented and above all satisfying. I had Duck, which literally melted in my mouth with a White chocolate Fondant for dessert which was the best desert I have ever tasted in a restaurant. Crispy on the outside and warm, creamy and simply divine on the inside. So as all good things come to an end we had to leave Hotel Duo Spa but there has not been a day since we returned that I have not thought about our stay. I could not have asked for anything else to make the stay better. Planning our next stay next year, for longer though!

Fantastic setting by the lake. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Lovely terrace to sit out on a warm sunny evening to enjoy a drink. Ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal. This is quite out of the way, by a lake in a forest. The perfect setting if you're looking for peace and quiet. The spa was very good and offered a broad range of treatments.

This was my second time in this hotel and it just keeps getting better. It is a little out of the way and you will need a car, but if you are looking for a great stay with friendly staff this is the place to go. It is family friendly and small dog friendly as well. The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot for what you pay for. I know a few people do not travel outside of main areas due to the theory that smaller places do not speak English. They speak workable English and there was no problem communicating. You can rent kayaks and bikes to get around. The lake is worth grabbing a kayak and rowing around the place--good little work out. The bikes are in good shape and get around the wooded area easily. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at

I was in Poland for a wedding and Duo was the closest hotel to the party venue. I arrived late on my arrival date and despite what the person on the phone told me, I was able to check in. The room was more than adequate with a nice bathroom and good service from the cleaning staff. A/C worked well at an acceptable noise level but most nights were comfortable enough not to need it. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choices; food quality was quite good. Had one meal at the hotel restaurant and that was a great experience as well. Local beers are on tap and I recommend the Zywiec. The hotel is next to a lake and forest with a few kilometres of walking & cycling paths. The locals are frequent users and there are groups of cyclists on the trails or using the Snack-bar on the hotel grounds; Rental bicycles are available for hotel guests. There's also a municipal beach/park a short walk away with activities for families and watercraft rentals. The area is well maintained with Lifeguard/First-aid stations, bathrooms and places to buy food. The park won an award for design in 2015 and seems like a fun place to spend a day. The hotel does have spa facilities for an additional fee but I didn't partake during my stay. I can report that the laundry service was great and was done the same day; Drop off before 8:00 am required. The WiFi worked in the rooms and hotel areas with a few interruptions but not enough to be annoying. Parking is free but can fill up on the weekend and the city (Janow) is close by with stores and banks. Staff were polite and spoke enough English to be helpful. I can recommend Duo Spa based on my personal experiences and would stay there again.

Nice clean hotel, stayed there for one night. we enjoyed drinks at the bar, and were pleasantly surprised when the owner bought us a round. We went up to room to find a beautiful room, We stayed in the Executive suite which slept up to 4 people. After settling in we decided to go back to bar which was unfortunately closed, but the person at the front desk was able to get us beers, and charged to room. Very nice customer service. The next day we went for breakfast, which we all enjoyed. After breakfast we walked around the hotel, walked around the lake until we came around a large playground for kids which my daughter enjoyed. They also has zip lining for kids/adults. There was even restaurant and bathrooms in area by playground in case you needed to have a drink or use the bathroom. Great hotel for families with kids. Unfortunately we had to leave after one night, but will definately go back.
