We had a triple room which was a reasonable size.It was clean with tea making facilities.Altough there were a couple of parties going on at the hotel we didn't really have any problems with noise etc. The breakfast was a buffet style which was nice but the service could have been better as people had to wait around for top...

Me and my wife booked a one night stay with a 3 course meal and breakfast on a Saturday night in January as an after Christmas break/ treat - from start to finish we really enjoyed our stay and was made to feel very welcome throughout. Our room was HUGE (206) and was nicely decorated (a little old fashioned but...

I booked up for 20 people to celebrate a joint birthday between my husband and my daughter on 28th January. Event staff were always helpful from day one. But after reading the reviews, I became a bit worried, but never the less went with an open mind as everyone has different opinions on things.... Am I glad I did! We...

On the 20th Jan we celebrated our son-in-law (to be) birthday with a party of 20. We choose to stay even though home is not far. The executive suite was great with a very comfortable bed. The murder mystery event took place over dinner and was truly entertaining. Meals we very good, staff clearly motivated, friendly and no long waits...

I went to a Christmas evening out. Food was good, waiting staff were good BUT no heating in the huge function room other than 3 halogen heaters which weren't anywhere near the kitchen doors where we had been seated. We kept getting freezing blasts of cold air every time the door opened. Asked for a heater to be moved they...

We booked one of the rooms that allows pets and it suited us perfectly with plenty of space for dogs bed as well as two adults. Staff were more than helpful and the dog was allowed on his lead in the lounge and bar. Breakfast was good quality range and volume. Dinner in the stables on Sunday evening was again...

I recently attended a wedding at The Chichester (Essex Barn) on New Years Eve and what a lovely wedding venue. Firstly the duty Manager Ben could not be more helpful and Maddy and her staff were perfect throughout the day and night. Well done !!

Before booking the New Year's Eve gala evening, I telephoned to see what was on offer for the £85.00 per head occasion. A polite lady informed me that there would be canapés and prosecco on arrival. A 5 course meal 1/2 bottle wine person A cheese selection board at 10pm HOWEVER! The prosecco could have stripped paint, 1 canapé per...

Stayed here on business. Looked very impressive when I drove up and there was plenty of parking. Reception area large and service very friendly. However, disappointing room for the price. Bathroom was old and needed redecorating with mould on the ceiling. Decor in bedroom needed updating too. Didn't have dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was poor. No serving spoons...

Hotel is average, wifi didn't work in room neither did the shower. Mentioned it to the reception all I got told was she would report it to the manager later. Don't think I will be back. Bed was comfy you only got 2 teabags & 2 coffee sachets, also could hear traffic on A127 all night.
