Porcupine Hills Guestfarm is on a working olive farm and within a private Nature reserve. There is a range of self catering accommodation available in the 3 to 4 star categories. The venue is exceptional, dramatic, secluded and replenishing. Well situated for local wine farms, the coast (Kleinmond & Hermanus- 40mins), Franschhoek over a spectacular pass (45 mins).Great walks and mountain bike rides on the farm, swimming in the pools.Silence and tranquility with mod-cons should you still need.

Just back from my third visit to this incredible farm. After a couple extraordinary big group weekends in the past, sure enjoyed this quiet, cozy, romantic weekend in Caracal. The degree of privacy you experience at porcupine is incredible. Love not being disturbed by other guests or staff and the cottage is outfitted with everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible. Appreciated all the nice touches like big candles, wood, blankets, and even finding shot glasses when we suddenly felt like tequila--we kept remarking on how kitted out the place was for good times. Didn't leave the next much, but the farm has some great walks avail.

Such an amazing location, accommodation was impeccable and catered to your every need. Will definitely return to enjoy it again. The walks were beautiful, so there was a little bit of everything to do. Owner was incredibly helpful and patient with us organising a party of 26 people for the weekend

Candice - thank you for the review and so pleased it all worked out for you and your group. It is a great place for celebrations and extended groups with something for everyone. Beautiful blue sky winter days, cold nights and random rain...fireplaces and red wine to compensate. Please come again.

It was just what we wanted and needed. A calm, peaceful place to rest in Nature with a lot of privacy and yet not too long a drive from Cape Town. There are plenty of trails to walk and go for longer hikes and I loved my pottery experience. It was the perfect retreat, so we we extended our stay. Caracal cottage is perfectly equipped, nothing is missing; it is spacious and even has good WiFi. We loved it! And we will definitely visit again.

What a great space. We loved the relaxing space created by the indoor / outdoor kitchen, dining area and fire pit boma. A really chilled camping vibe with all the luxury. It’s very cleverly designed and great for all being present. The bedrooms were comfy and each has its own en suite which is great. Loved the walks, secret forest and dam. Worth taking a few floaties. The cottage is remote and you feel like you are the only ones on the property although there are cottages relatively close by. All in all a great family getaway.
