The Marina Lodge at Port Ghalib falls into the mid budget conscious category. Multiple levels of all inclusive packages are offered. We stayed with the breakfast and dinner included option. Overall we got what we paid for. Relatively decent accomodations with 2 free bottles of water included on a daily basis within the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. On site dive operator and Spa. Upper and lower pools on the canal along with a dining area on the lower level. The food was o.k., but became very repetitive after a few dinners. Breakfast was the best meal except for not having enough coffee cups and one machine to make coffee for the whole hotel. Be prepared to pay for bottled water, Sodas, and Beer on the similar plan. We had one of our party of seven that booked the all inclusive. The all inclusive had a selection of extremely cheap alcohol and one beer option. Most were horrible according to our friend. Glad we stuck with the basic plan. There is a bar / sitting area above the reception and they usually had to call someone if you wanted service. The bar offerings in here were decent and if we had alcohol or needed bottles water this is where we typically got it from. We knew that alcohol was not up to US standards so we brought most liquor with us from the airport before we flew into Egypt. The SPA owner works the property but the people actually working in the SPA have no formal training. If you want anything beyond a relaxing massage you are out of luck. Four in our party booked a two massage special and we were all disappointed. Be prepared to have a taxi or use the water taxi or walk about 1.5 miles around the canal from this hotel to make it to where the main attractions are for shopping and dining. There are a few shops on property and they will hassle you to come into their shops anytime you walk by. We had several great lunch / dinners over in the main shopping area. With the $2.00 each way for the water taxi. Our only real complaint is that hot water ran out quickly, dinner options were repetitive, and the safe in the room didn't function properly. We got what we paid for, but are staying at a different resort after our week on a diving live a board.

We have been staying in this hotel for 10 days. We really enjoyed the food they serve always different and restaurant staff are really cute and friendly people. The rooms were always clean and very nice they do magic from towels it was always surprising us. Special thanks for Baha housekeeping. The hotel also have shops and spa center. They do really good massage and sauna was perfect. Animation team also worked very well. We liked very much stretching and massage after in the beach. We had two excursions it was pretty expensive but we liked.
