We stayed in a twin room for about 18 USD per night with hot shower and aircon. Room has a window and a door at the back which we can open and sit outside. Looked like they were newly renovated as everything was shining new. There's a rice farm at the back of our room. If in the right season, the view should be fantastic but when we stayed, they have harvested. Took 10 minutes or so to walk to the Loboc River Cruise port where we took local bus to visit Chocolate Hills for 30 Peso each. There were a few local restaurants at the square. We didn't do the cruise. There were not much eating options at night in the area.

The place is basic. It looks like a motel. The rooms are small, but the bed is comfortable and the toilet acceptable. The air conditioning works pretty well. It is located near the old church and the city hall (many local options for eating there). When we stayed, they were a building under construction, so it was a bit noisy in the mornings. +Pros: The price, the aircon and the location. -Cons: Cold water (not a must, because of the hot weather)

When we first arrived we were told that the Agoda booking hadn't gone through; although it still said it had online, and that we were lucky as they still had 1 room available. No Apology, didn't seem to care either way. Very rude! Pros: Room was a good size and hotel a good location. Cons: - Bathroom was filthy & sink tap didn't point into the basin - Bed was a solid piece of plywood, with a mattress topper; no mattress, that was that soft you could use it as a quilt. - One flat, pointless pillow. - No mosquito net, could hear them buzzing around our ears. Had to turn air-con on full to make the room like a fridge to stop them attacking. This meant we then had to then wear a full set of clothes to bed including coats! Girlfriend ended up covered in bites - The above resulted in literally no sleep for 2 nights. - Wifi didn't reach room Can't understand where the good reviews come from?!

NOTE: If you book with Agoda, Booking.com etc you are not guaranteed a room! Some technical issue (on the hotels side I feel) means that they are not connected to their accounts, so they don't receive online bookings and simply let their rooms on a walk-in basis. This happened to us after a very taxing day travelling and was not great. We stayed elsewhere for a couple of nights but managed to get a room for the remaining days of our stay in Loboc. Rooms are basic in a good, clean way and have AC for only PHP550 which is mad, considering almost all the other nice places in Loboc are charging PHP1000+, so great value. The owners were nice, helpful and gave us plenty of advice on onwards travel. Another plus is the central location, as most of there places seem to be well out of town and require bikes (which are recommended in Bohol anyway!). So generally a good place to stay, assuming you're not relying on pre-booking (we saw this happen to 2 other groups of people whilst we were there, beware!).

I'd booked in another places in Loboc which was awful. (Hilltop Cottages) Twilight came to my rescue. In the town. It's cheap, clean and the staff are nice and friendly. (Bed was a little uncomfortable) but for 500p I can't mark them down for that! Great little place if you're on a tight budget.
