This was our second trip to a sandals resort. We stayed in the butler suite with a sky pool. One of the best things about Sandals Grenada is the 5 minute shuttle ride from the airport to the resort. The room was large, and modern. The private patio was impressive. We hoped to use our sky pool however, even though it was +30C outside, our patio did not get any sun throughout the day so our pool was too cold to enjoy. The butlers we had were very friendly and accommodating. The butler service is well worth it, it guarantees you a spot at the pool or beach everyday, and they schedule your week with booked reservations at the restaurants. The food was good. The beach is very small, but nice. The reason I’m giving this resort only 3 stars is because we had a few bad experiences with staff. Some staff are very nice and friendly, and some are very rude. We reviewed the dress codes for the restaurant before we went to them and were turned away on two occasions In a very rude manner. One because my swimsuit cover up was “too short” which made no sense at all, it had long sleeves a high neck, was not see through and it covered up my entire swimsuit, this happened at the breakfast buffet. On another occasion I was wearing loose pants and a ruffled top, I was told I could not enter the breakfast buffet because my top was too short. The resort site clearly says resort causal for the dress code and I could see other guests in the breakfast buffet restaurant wearing swimsuits. Some of the staff were so rude and they seemed very bothered to be serving anyone. The resort is expensive to book, we are very easy going as far as food and entertainment and accommodations however we don’t want our vacation ruined by the staff treating us poorly. Too bad for the nice staff because the bad ones ruin the resorts reputation for everyone.

Sandals Grenada is Heaven on Earth! We stayed in the waterfall walkout junior suite and it was just gorgeous. I can’t think of a single negative about this resort. The food was amazing. I want to tank Mike McHugh from Dream Makers Vacation services for helping make this trip so special! I have had so many issues between weather and lost passport and he has always saved our trip! Hurricane Irma Mike managed to rebook us at another location and get our money back from airline! I could never have done all that! Trust me..even if you book with Sandals it’s best to switch reservation to Mike. I’m forever grateful..we always get nice rooms upgrades/desired room location. (I post this because I found Mike from someone else’s review on Trip Advisor! I sure wish I could thank them lol. Grenada was more beautiful then any picture can show. Super close to airport but you would never know it. Party pool is fun and service is fantastic! If you have any questions or want to see more pictures let me know

We have been to many of their properties and this was one of our favorites so far. Spent a few days at the loud pool and a few days at the quiet pool, both were great.... service was always good and you could usually find a cabana just about anytime. We love sandals because they offer scuba diving and Grenada was second best only behind Nassau. Food was great and service was the best of any sandals we have been to. The culture is so different from every other Caribbean island we have been to, which was a nice surprise. Booked a tour of the town which was great. Saw some monkeys and got an education of some of the recent history that is less well known. Monkey man on the beach can get whatever you want. Such a great trip and actually considering going back soon,(we have only been to Nassau twice). Booked a trip to South Coast for December before we left.

Just returned from our first trip to Grenada - and it absolutely will not be our last!! The island is absolutely beautiful, safe and clean; the locals are very friendly and welcoming. The staff and service at the Sandals resort are absolutely amazing - so many exceptional staffers that make you feel genuinely welcome. While the beach is not huge (and at times the best seats are grabbed by Butlers - I was in a race with them most mornings as I wanted the end spot on the beach), the snorkeling is amazing! The water was crystal clear, the sand soft with areas that had lots of shells (we even found sea glass with some digging!), and there is so much sea life! We saw 4 squid, an octopus, an eel, and tons of unique fish. Truly the best off-beach snorkeling we've ever seen. On the free snorkel trips we actually saw rays and a sea turtle as well. The restaurants are all great - and chances are very good you'll get an engaging happy server. We enjoy chatting with the staff, and our genuineness was always rewarded in kind from them. It's fun to learn more about them as your vacation progresses. We absolutely enjoyed the entertainment team, and scheduled activities. We prefer low-key and felt this resort had the perfect mix for us. There was always some kind of singing/dancing show in the evenings (some truly amazingly talented people here), and always activities around the pool during the day. We're beach people so really didn't do any daytime stuff, but always enjoyed the shows after dinner. All in all, between the amazing snorkeling, the right mix of entertainment and the exceptional staff & service, Sandals Grenada has become our favorite Sandals. Before signing off would just like to leave a "world wide web shout out" to some exceptional people we met last week. 1) The gals from Cafe de Paris: Rachel, Nikita, Kenisha & Kimily. You ladies just made my day daily with your antics and friendliness. 2) Jules & Helen from the Club Team: wickedly efficient and just fabulous. Thank you for all the special treatment. 3) Ria & Asa from the Entertainment Team: what can I say, except, you rock. Thanks for jiving with the Spice King and Pinata all week - you made things so fun! 4) Nikita (tour desk): thanks for the giggles every time we chatted! 5) Chris, Kisselle & Clint: thank you for all your hard work and service - you guys are truly amazing! Wishing you all the best. We appreciated so much all the staff (I know I'm forgetting some names), so for anyone that helped make our visit so special, relaxing and amazing, a heartfelt thank you! We will be back.

One of our favorite Sandal’s locations. Third trip to this resort ! The draw is the beauty, the pool volleyball, and the compactness of the resort. Playmakers: The best playmaker wasn’t even a playmaker, but an ex-playmaker, Duwan ! He would show up to events and was fabulous ! Honorable mention to Steven, who screamed the entire time ! Playmaker Ashleigh was terrible. Absolutely the worst playmaker I have ever seen. Zero energy and zero interest displayed. French restaurant: The steak medallions I would grade a C minus. Spice restaurant: The port chops, the signature dish, was chewy and hard to cut. Italian restaurant: the pan seared snapper was ok. Neptunes for lunch: The grouper was surprisingly good. Returning guest dinner: The filet and lobster were fabulous. The general manager: Enjoyed meeting Peter Frazier. He arranged a special lunch for us with special crabcakes without onions. They were wonderful. Kenneth in landscaping: He was so kind. He would check on my wife who was on the mend from a 6 week old ankle fracture. He would bring her fresh coconut juice which was so appreciated. Flights: Flight times are now much better than they were 2-3 years ago. Overall: The vacation was not perfect, but very close to it ! But the love at this resort was palpable !
