This was our eight trip to this idyllic resort, and obviously we are huge Sandals fans! We have been to almost every Sandal's property and this was and still is our #1. When we arrived at the Grenada airport, we were most impressed with the thoroughness of the Covid-19 screening. Temperatures were taken forms were filled out and we were told we would have to quarantine for 14 days. A Covid-19 test after 4 days was required to go off property for any reason or to change properties. We never left the property, except to dive on the Sandals boat. When we departed after 9 nights, nothing was said or asked at the airport about a follow-up test. Our temperature was taken by an overhead scanner at airport check in. Upon arrival at Sandals, we were warmly welcomed by the General Manager, Peter Frazier, as well as many staff. We were in a South Seas Honeymoon One Bedroom Butler Villa... - 1BP, with private pool and spa. Our butlers were Crystal, Kirk, and Leanna, who were the best we had in all our stays! They surprised us daily with treats, appetizers, and lunch snacks after diving. Our room was constantly decorated with cute towel animals, bed decorations, a custom bar, as well as pool service for anything we wanted...awesome service! The one bedroom suites are spacious, very private, tv's in bedroom and living room, bed toppers and different pillows available upon request. We also love the Rondoval suites "RD" and the M1P suites. The cleanliness and disinfection of the room, restaurants, and bars was first class. Our room was UV light inspected and sealed with a special sticker after it was disinfected and re-checked by the manager(before we arrived). In room daily disinfection was explained, and shown on written / pictured forms. Every employee wore masks at all times. Chairs, tables and bar tops were disinfected constantly. Your temperature was taken at every restaurant every time you entered (wearing your mask) and you were asked to used hand disinfectant before being seated. I saw the menus being cleaned after every use. Social distancing was in effect at tables and bars...even the pool bar seats were blocked off at every third seat. All guests seemed to take all this seriously. The USA hotels could learn from Sandals! All restaurants were open, but required reservations for dinner. You may not get a popular restaurant reservation the first night, but check for cancellations and try to "walk in". Dinner menus were mostly identical to pre-Covid, but breakfast was available only at Le Jardinier and Spices, (Cucina Romana was closed for breakfast, but their breakfast was always identical to Spices in the past). At Spices, there was a very limited cold continental buffet and all hot breakfast items were off a menu, which made a "quick" breakfast before diving difficult, but with butler service, in room dining was timely, hot, and delicious! Here's a tip for Soy, the sushi bar...the chef's can do special rolls, and they delight in providing a Danny, Berwin or Tascia "Special Roll"...just ask! We eat at Soy 3 or 4 nights in a 7 to 9 night stay! New to Sushi, this is a great place to start and explore! Try the Sake (salmon) Hamachi and Albacore sashimi as well as the Carpaccio marinated fish...awesome! Because of the limited number of guests, most restaurants were closed twice a week at night, instead of the usual one. The food and service was the best we have had in our 8 trips! It seems every employee was happy to be back at work and going the extra mile to make every guest feel welcome. The SSG dinner was held as well as the Managers Cocktail party. I always have said that its the Grenadian people who keep us coming back. Thursday White Hot Night was limited with only passed chocolates, and chocolate martinis...no big open tables of chocolates as in the past. Diving was excellent, for the Caribbean (we have dove in 35 countries), and again, the Dive Shop, run by Devon Boota, was outstanding. We dive every day and most all dives are less than 10 to 15 minutes from the resort. Yes, they limit bottom time, and depth for open water divers, and the first diver to 1000 psi ends the dive. They do their best to divide into beginner and advanced groups. Look into a "Sandals Elite Diver" membership for very experienced divers! Boota told us they are looking into exploratory dives to the relatively virgin North end of the island. There would be an extra fee for this special two tank trip and it would leave very early...7 AM?? The second dive / snorkel boat would do the "local" 2 tank dive for those not wanting to spend extra for a very special experience. My only complaint was the nightly entertainment. It was still good, but because of the low number of guests, the outside entertainers they usually bring in (Steel Pan Band, Reggae band, soloists) didn't happen. Most entertainment was done by the talented Playmakers with a DJ...I totally understand this, as I am sure the resort was operating at a loss until occupancy levels increase. So, why was it "better than ever"?...the fabulous staff, the quality of the food, the almost private diving, were better than ever!. We felt so safe because of the precautions and cleaning procedures. We felt safe at this Sandals and I assume this would be true at all Sandals Resorts during Covid-19...go now, save money, and have a private resort experience! Remember, at all Sandals, one or two restaurants require men to wear long pants and closed toe shoes for dinner...shorts won't get you seated. All things considered...BETTER THAN EVER!

My husband and I have traveled the world over the years. We were very impressed with this Sandals Resort in Grenada. It was a tropical paradise! The resort is perfectly landscaped and well kept. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. The Butler service was superb! They were so pleasing and full of surprises. They were very attentive to our needs. We introduced our friends to this resort and they were very impressed with the resort as well. The accommodations are incredible. There is something for every couple, a quiet places or a party place and the entertainment was terrific. It was so difficult when it came time to leave. We can't wait to return to this resort again.

Sandals Grenada is truly a beautiful destination with friendly staff and exceptional amenities. The water sports team made you feel like you were part of their family. I'd highly recommend doing SNUBA in the Underwater Sculpture Park! From my massage at the Spa to a candlelit dinner under the stars followed by nutmeg ice cream, my weekend was filled with the fondest memories. I cannot wait to go back!

Cannot say enough great things about Sandals Grenada - we were so impressed with the staff and their attentive service. Food in all the restaurants was excellent and all the new health and safety protocols made us feel extremely safe and comfortable. The dive/watersports team were all fabulous. We also had the most amazing massages at the spa! Our butlers (Kervin, Brent, and Neron) went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We will be back! Thanks for an incredibly needed restful vacation!

This resort was everything I ever expected and more. First, it’s directly next to the airport which is a huge plus, the staff was inviting and friendly everywhere we went. There is snorkeling within the beach area that is for Sandals guests, and a walk along the beach brings you to a cool rocky area. All of the food was fantastic. My only grip was that we asked for specific rooms in the swim ups rooms and weren’t even close to what we asked for when shown our room. Upon arrival, our friends were given one of the rooms that we had asked for and we were not even in the same set of rooms as them which we notified before hand that we were traveling as a group. There are two different sets of swim ups at this resort but the are sold as the same quality. They are not, we were given the set of rooms which are lower and have a view of the back of a building, where as the other set have a view of the ocean from your porch. We discussed this issue with the Butler and he had us switched the next day but still it would have been nice to get one of the rooms, 6 in total, 3201 thru 3206 that we had asked for in the reservation booking. Other than that it was an amazing vacation and resort.
