Sushi and champagne, pools and a swim-up bar, then a stroll down the majestic Pink Gin Beach. Not necessarily in that order, but all of it is possible at the beachfront Sandals Grenada. With its ‘private pools in the sky’ and ‘living rooms in beachfront pools’, this all-inclusive resort is among the world’s most innovative. A vacation here can check many things off your getaway destination list starting with the made-for-enjoyment swim-up suites. Go off property and explore Grenada’s natural wonders and discover why it's known as the spice isle. Breathe deeply and take it all in — everything from beaches and waterfalls to lush rainforests and historical sites. It’s all possible in Grenada, and there's no better starting point than Sandals Resorts.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Sandals Grenada garners accolades for its pristine rooms and grounds, with many guests commending the hotel's cleanliness and meticulous upkeep. While the location near the airport and its scenic surroundings are a hit among travelers, opinions on the rooms vary; some find them luxuriously appointed, while others feel they fall short of expectations. The hotel's atmosphere strikes a balance between lively festivities and peaceful retreats.
Although the array of amenities, including pools and snorkeling, are popular, some guests note a discrepancy between cost and value. However, the service consistently receives high marks for its attentive and professional staff.

We have stayed at multiple sandals locations and I read reviews so I will put as much as I can to help others in here. Just to get an idea, we love to snorkel. We have stayed at Sandals Royal Carribean, Curacao, Halycon in St Lucia, Negril, Ochi, Antigua, Beaches Turks and Caicos. This was one of my favorite trips despite the water not being the crazy beautiful blue in Jamaica. It was still beautiful just not the same color. Beach was beautiful. We stayed in an entry level room although we normally stay in club level because of the nice big balcony area.
Pros: very friendly staff, some of the best drinks ever specifically by Evita, nice touches like fresh coconuts on the beach twice in a week, good food, good service, great snorkeling right off the beach, and even though it was extra, night snorkeling. Fantastic air conditioning. room was stocked every day with fresh drinks and turn down service as well as cleaned daily. Not a long wait. Can't control the weather but it was amazing. Flat ground and easy access to restaurants. Very good singers or instrument players every night. Very relaxing vibe. Party pool on the newer side with the bar pool Very strong drinks there which I did not like, but beach side the drinks were absolutely amazing and the right amount of alcohol to taste but not drown. Every day was a different location for snorkeling but they didn't always run on time. Free informational boat trip that tells you things you may want to visit on the island.
Cons: lots of bugs, only sandals we have ever had issue with...dead cockroach in our room and live one on the balcony, not very comfortable bed, uncomfortable pillows. Several rooms could be difficult if you had mobility problems so lots of stairs and some steep climbing so call and make sure. We did run into a couple that had mobility problems so they were moved to a room with elevator and they were fine. Also what has become known as the "chair game" if you don't get a chair by 9 at the pool you likely won't get one. What other's told us is that they take their towel to their room and bring it down as the towels were not stocked in the evening and there were none in the am to save those chairs. Butler suites took quite a few. Sandals did try to address this by placing chairs in front of the infinity edge pool which kind of defeats the purpose of infinity but at least they were trying. All those chairs are also gone by 9am so if this is a priority you may want to pay for the butler sui

This will be a long but worth reading review. Spent the past week at Sandals Greanda, in the pink gin walkout club level room. Only 3 minute drive from the airport - a huge plus in starting your vacation! Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted with cooling signature scented towels and then were taken to club sandals lounge. We were given the signature green drink, made by Samuel and it was so good we took two more to go before leaving to see our room. Ted, our concierge advisor was so sweet and made our reservations for Kimonos and Butch's as we were unable to access advance reservations from the app. ROOM was gorgeous--room 1117--BEST view and our first walk out experience. Literally walk down a few steps directly to the beach. We asked for a mattress topper (after reading others suggestions) and it was quickly delivered, making bed very comfortable. Housekeepers--Reanna and Liz-Ann were so sweet! The Red Lane spa bottles in room are a good size and although the towels are a little thin you are given an abundance so it's not a big deal. In room liquor, stocked mini fridge, and two robes with extra pillows in closet. Highly suggest this room category for view and location. Only con is the 6 am wake up, hearing the men doing the insect defogging but it takes care of pesky mosquitoes so a small price to pay in the Caribbean. We did bring a Thermacell mosquito shield repellant and kept it on our outside patio for evening viewing of the beach and to soak in the Tranquility tub. RESTAURANTS: SOY--as I am allergic to seafood I knew I had limited choices but Keyanna explained what I could safely eat and I throughly enjoyed my vegetable spring rolls, Chicken Kara Age, and the dessert - kanten sushi roll! My husband who loves sushi enjoyed the dragon eel and Caribbean dynamite. Signature sake drink was good too! LE JARDINIER-amazing banana french toast breakfast! Dinner is resort evening attire --do not miss the pumpkin dip as appetizer, hubby enjoyed his escargots. Grilled beef tenderloins as entree and hubby had salmon-both great! Best creme brulee on site! NEPTUNES-right off the beach. IMO-best quesadillas I have ever had! never made it here for dinner so unable to comment. KIMONOS-Chef Aries was a lot of fun and took into consideration all allergies and sensitivities. He juggles, got others involved in the fun and even sang happy birthday to a couple at our table. Asian dumplings were sooo good and you get a lot of food as entree. We were so full we took desserts to go -Emperors chocolate cake was superb! SPICES-serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is open air and buffet, lunch is also buffet and changes daily based on theme. We only ate the Mexican day and they had a good selection. Never ate dinner here so unable to comment but did have dessert - dark chocolate rum cake. CUCINA ROMANA-our FAVE restaurant! Serves breakfast-buffet, but inside for a/c and they have fresh squeezed juice machine. Their omelette and french toast chef (wish I got his name) made them to order and was very good. Buffet had great selection of foods. Dinner was DELICIOUS! Polla alla Parmigiana, Penne all'Arrabbiata-amazing. Hubby loved his linguini agli scampi. Tried all the desserts--incredible tiramisu was the stand out. DINOS PIZZA--coming from a New Yorker this pizza is VERY GOOD! Right next to the main pool-had the Margherita and Calabrese multiple times. They also had chicken and beef patties and popcorn bags on the counter. CAFE de PARIS-nutmeg ice cream is not to be missed, crepes are good and multiple specialty coffees to choose. TIPSY TURTLE PUB--Dereka was our late night server and her suggestion of the bbq and buffalo wings did not disappoint! Tried the brownie for dessert-very rich and good! BUTCH'S-which we looked forward to was quite underwhelming. Salad had to go back as I ordered without feta, lamb chops and rib eye were not the greatest. Filet Mignon was good but we had better Butch's meals at other resorts. ENTERTAINMENT-carnival beach party with fire blowers was outstanding! Caribbean night with the steel band was great. All white party with silent DJ is a lot of fun and they pass around mini chocolates. The female singer had a voice worthy of fame and the Saxophonist prior was really good too! WATER SPORTS-went paddle boarding. Jaheim showed us what to do and it was fun, never having experienced prior. Signed up for their free snorkel trip-the captain never showed-and after waiting almost 40 minutes, the manager finally had Jaheim take us out. Murky waters and not worth it in my opinion but kudos to Jaheim for his willingness. You can snorkel yourself right off the beach and that was AMAZING-we took our own gear and saw MUCH MORE in clearer water. BARTENDER Javon made the best drinks at the main pool! Try a suntan and hummingbird. Hubby also asked for their strongest rum--a spicy rum that was 138 proof! POOL ENTERTAINMENT--so much fun! Playing different games as couples you win balls which equates to points by trip's end. If you acquire 150 points you win a prize! We won and took home a paper painting by a local artist, a wood carved drinking glass, signed by local artist and a beaded bracelet also handmade by local artist. Great way to interact with others at pool. Granteley held aqua fitness each morning and you get a fun and good workout! Special thank you to Shanice who helped retrieve our gift from entertainment staff prior to our flight. Kadeem of the pool team took time out to show me the iguanas in the tree early morning-they are huge and hang out by the Ylang Ylang tree. LANDSCAPER Newby was so sweet and nice. I wanted a coconut to drink from and he made sure I had two waiting in my room later in the day, complete with straws! I thanked him tremendously the next day and to our surpirse we found two more coconuts in our room that day. Talk about a great staff member! PHOTOS--Arieon and Satreme are the BEST! We had soooo many great photographs to choose from! Marrissa, the photo shop manager helped us find a package in our price range and we LOVE the professionalism and patience these individuals had. Highly suggest a sunset photo session! RESORT GIFT SHOP-nice selection, even Sandals exclusive attire! Reiana was very nice and helped me find a Grenada charm for my bracelet. TOURS-we chose Tours Grenada shared land and sea tour and visited multiple sites in town (that will be a separate review) Overall, this is a smaller resort than other Sandals, easily walkable (with some hilly spots), wonderful staff and food selection. Miss it already and hope to return one day!

We stayed at this resort in April 2018. We went for an Italian Bi-level butler suite, our room number was 3303 and i believe it to be in one of the best locations as we had the most perfectly central view over to the sea... The room was lovely, spotlessly clean with all the liquors that we asked for and more - there were litre bottles of gin, rum, whisky, wine and vodka (we only asked for gin and vodka) in the fridge there was white wine, beers and soft drinks. The balcony overlooked the swim up rooms and i only wish we could have stretch to one of these as the pool looked very inviting. It was a large balcony and the tranquility tub was defiantly big enough for 2 people - We used it every day in lieu of the swim up room. Our butlers were Don and Willem and they were an absolute credit to Sandals resorts. Being English we were very hesitant to have a butler (we only went for it as I wanted the tranquility tub and the in room bar and the Bi-level butler suites were the best priced)

My husband and I recently returned from 6 nights at Sandals Grenada for our honeymoon.
While we enjoyed our week together and got some much needed relaxation, I will admit we were quite disappointed with the accommodations and experience at Sandals Grenada. This was our first time booking a trip with Sandals and my husband and I agreed that it will likely be our last. Sandals advertises luxury experiences and excellent service, neither of which were apparent to us.
Our room looked vastly different from the photos online (which showed a 4 post bed and more upscale looking furniture and decor). We did not receive housekeeping or turn down services for the first two and a half days, despite being out of the room all day with our housekeeping light on. By day 3, we discovered that they would come to our room for the first time during the day after 3pm, a realization we discovered when we went up one afternoon hoping to shower and saw that they were there.
The food at the resort was less than impressive, lacking flavor and often being served at room temperature. Once our orders were taken and food was served, we often didn't see another server pass us for the remainder of our evening. The candlelight dinner we reserved also felt like a waste of money once we realized it's just the food from each restaurant at the resort that's offered.
Majority of the staff was friendly for the most part, but we quickly realized that we were treated much differently from the guests who booked butler suites. I understand those rooms and guests get priority, but we often felt completely ignored and overlooked which was disappointing, especially on an occasion as special as our honeymoon. For a while, we wondered why we had to provide our room number upon entering the resort restaurants but quickly learned it may have been an indication of the level of service and food we could expect to receive (after comparing notes to another couple we met who had a butler suite). I spoke to a friend of mine who frequents Sandals St. Lucia and she confirmed that the one year she and her husband did not book a butler suite, they had a vastly different experience from years past.
To top it all off, upon checkout, we were overcharged for sunscreen purchases (we purchased 2 but were charged for 3), which we were told at 11am would be corrected as we checked out. When we boarded the shuttle to head to the airport at 1pm, the staff prevented us from leaving claiming we did not check out. My husband was at the front desk trying to explain the situation to them for 15 minutes, all while holding up other passengers in the shuttle. Finally, we just said "whatever" and overpaid in order to leave. I've contacted Sandals Customer Support regarding the overcharge but haven't heard back yet.
Overall, we did not feel like we received our money's worth during our stay. There were several other examples of this that affected our experience, but the best way to summarize it was that everything was "good enough", but nothing was great. Frankly, I've stayed at Marriott's that provide a higher level of service and luxury than what we experienced. I'm not sure if all of this was location-specific or just a result of booking a more affordable room option, but hope this feedback can advise others considering booking Sandals Grenada.

Should have gone back to St. Lucia or better yet. NOLA!! What a waste of money and time off. Aside from our butler Leann, 90% of the staff except Tori at the Island desk and the Spa employees, everyone gave you an attitude all day long. It was as if you were bothering them when you asked for a drink or ordered food, they weren't pleasant at all. We had a butler on our last night, who ignored our 3 calls to order food and it was only 8:30 when we began calling. He showed up as we were rolling our luggage down to the front as we were checking out, clearly looking for a tip which he wasn't getting and played dumb actin as if he didn't see our 3 calls the night prior. Honestly, I cleaned the room myself each day, in 3 days we asked for water to be restocked once, so it's not as if we were a nuisance .
I don't know if it was the time of year we chose to go but the majority of the other vacationers were seniors (we're in our 50's ourselves but very much so young spirited). This felt like being stuck at a retirement village where everyone had eaten dinner by 7 and in bed by 9. That's another thing, why schedule us for a dinner at 8:30 to then tell us, please be ready by 8:15 because the kitchen closes at 9:15. It felt more like a punishment then a vacation. We did have a good experience during our private beach dinner, Shari went out of her way to make it pleasant and enjoyable but that dinner isn't included and you pay a separate $199 fee to have it. Our trip into town for spices was good but that was for a total of 30 minutes tops. I wish we would have just booked another trip to New Orleans to experience once again the fantastic, culture, music, food and history they have to share.
I had heard such great things about Grenada and having just come back from Jamaica in June, was told Grenada was going to blow our minds. Well that it did. Such a disappointment. What I can say is the room was clean but in 3 days, not once did I see the private swim up pool get cleaned, the same things I saw floating in there are day 1 were there on day 4. Unlike Jamaica where they cleaned constantly. Wouldn't recommend nor return not even for free, we couldn't wait to come home.

We were first time Sandals visitors but have experienced many all inclusive resorts across the Caribbean where fellow guests have compared the hotel to Sandals as the gold standard. So we came to Grenada to experience Sandals for ourselves.
The Excellent Great friendly staff from reception through to the ground staff. When any questions were raised staff went out of their way to help. We found the food to be excellent and would recommend Spices, Cucina Romana and Neptunes. The service in these 3 restaurants was consistently first rate with a good menu selection. The drinks service on the beach was brilliant with a very friendly young waitress who remembered our drinks choices from day to day. Only sorry that I didn't catch her name. Great PADI Dive Centre on site for qualified divers. The dive crew were very professional with a well equipped boat including 02 and first aid kits. Water, fruit, snacks and marine "heads" for between dive use were particularly welcome. Some great diving was available within 10 minutes of the dive center although there were a few sites revisited over the week that I was there. The grounds were beautifully maintained by hard working staff and the encounters with iguanas were quite something!
The Good Spacious room with plenty of storage. But we have been allocated larger rooms in other non-Sandals resorts on other islands. The room itself was nicely appointed but furnishing was a little dark and tired looking. Lighting could be improved as there was only one mirror providing enough visibility for make up, hair drying etc. The room was very well sound proofed and we were unaware of neighbors in adjoining rooms. The Air Conditioning was adjustable and we were able to get the right balance for a peaceful night's rest.
The Disappointing Despite excellent food, we were disappointed that having to waiting 4 days for our booking at Butch's, the service was slow compared with the other restaurants on site and despite ordering identical entrees, my steak was medium rare as ordered but my partners steak was undercooked.
The Unacceptable. We found that Sandals is a 2 Tier resort where guests with a butler are able to access services to the detriment of the experience of others. Unlike similar premium services we have seen elsewhere these guests are not allocated a dedicated pool, beach or lounger area but displace other guests access to these services. Access to sun loungers was very poor. Reception staff told us that management were aware and working on a solution. But we then discovered that these were being reserved by Sandals staff at 6:00 each morning and on challenging this were told that loungers were being reserved on behalf of the butlers. Similarly we waited 4 days to access Butch's restaurant as it was "fully booked" only to see newly arrived guests being escorted to tables by their butler when none were available for booking for others.

We were very disappointed! This was our first time having Butlers and it was the most money we have spent at a Sandals… and ironically it was our least enjoyed Sandals. We would see our Butlers only 1-2 times a day and it turns out we met a couple with the same Butlers as us and they said the Butlers were super attentive to them. Our room wasn’t consistently cleaned and every day there were items that weren’t restocked. A few of the restaurants had terrible service - we walked out of the Italian restaurant after waiting over an hour for our food. We were seated at Spices but then we were never attended to… we had to go ask someone to take our drink/food order. There were lots of bugs in the bathroom of our room. We were in our private pool in our room and an employee came and asked us to be quiet. Overall we would not recommend this Sandals and we will not go back.

This stay was a part of our free (prepaid) week. Although Sandals does commit to keeping you in the room category you normally book, be prepared to be in the most unfavourable room at that level. In Grenada this meant the room was smaller, older and located in the original area of the resort.
Grenada is a smaller property with an older clientele and a relaxed, friendly vibe. This was our 7th Sandals and I highly recommend a stay here. We’ve just completed a week stay over the holidays and service was impeccable despite being near capacity. The older of the rooms and spaces are showing some age however the resort is very well kept and the newer areas are very impressive. We enjoyed every one of the restaurants. The selection and quality of the food met the high standard we’ve come to expect at Sandals. The diving was the absolute best of any Sandals we’ve visited. This compliment includes the organization, safety, dive locations, and the absolutely amazing dive team. The grounds and landscaping are particularly beautiful. There were no issues finding chairs or towels at the pool and beach areas. Special shout out to Club Manager Antonio and Candice at the pool bar for going the extra mile with their special brand of customer care that made our visit so special. We hope to come back soon.
A request to management. Please consider adding a rosé wine to the standard included offerings.

We last stayed at Sandals Grenada in 2015, and decided to stay again and were not disappointed! There were only the two of us in the shuttle bus to the hotel, all of five minutes away! We were greeted with a glass of fizz and taken to our lovely room which was a Lovers Lagoon Hideaway Junior Suite LJS - luxury level. Our room was huge, light, bright, clean and modern, overlooking the fountains in the lagoon, absolutely fabulous - a short walk to the South Sea pool. There was a huge walk-in shower, and the air con was excellent. Our room was cleaned daily, was never missed, Denesha, our room attendant did a great job. Our fridge was restocked daily too. The airport runway was right outside our door but we never heard much aircraft noise. We dined at all the restaurants apart from Soy, all the food was exceptional, especially Butch’s Chophouse, which also had a wonderful ambience. The service at the restaurants was very good too, including refilling the wine 🍷. Most of the restaurants have a signature cocktail to try too! My husband had a coffee every morning at Cafe de Paris, and the ladies in there were always happy. The ice cream in there is so delicious, and lots of flavours and toppings to choose from too🍦! We had breakfast at Spices and Cucina Romana, both were buffet style with a wide selection of delicious food, no one will go hungry at this resort!! What can we say about the staff at the resort? They were all so friendly, helpful, and would always ask how our day was going, personally, we couldn’t fault anyone there, and they all work so hard. The gardeners work so hard to keep the gardens immaculate, it’s a real pleasure to wander around and admire the flowers. There are some huge iguanas roaming around the property too, which are very impressive. Ansil at the Spa did my relaxing lavender body and scalp massage, and Denyse did my lovely pedicure, both these ladies are stars 🤩! We spent most days, round the South Sea pool, where Nordica and Mario, were very attentive, efficient and happy. Javon, was so conscientious, constantly asking guests if they need anything, and clearing up dirty glasses and rubbish - always with a smile on his face too. The only complaint is that the music was far too loud, we couldn’t sit by the pool bar, because we couldn’t hear what each other was saying, such a shame! Evita in the Living Room is a diamond, she kept my husband nicely hydrated, and made my cocktails to perfection🍸, service with a smile. Peter Fraser, the GM, Rohan, the Hotel Manager and Jamie, Operations Manager, are all so proud of the resort. They are always visible, and happy to hear the guests comments - good or bad! They will go out of their way to smooth out any problems that may arise. Jennifer and Laurel, in Guest Experience were exceptional too, always happy to help. We are very glad we went back, so much so that we cancelled our next holiday to Sandals Barbados, and rebooked Grenada for 2026!

Rooms – pretty good, we had a South Seas Waterfall River Pool Junior Suite with Balcony which was as described on their website. I don’t know why they bother putting baths on the balconies as we never saw any indication that they got used. Your choice of room largely depends on whether or not you want a butler. Rooms at the beach end will be quieter during the day but noisier at night due to the entertainment; those near the South Seas pool will be very noisy during the day (booming music) but quieter at night, so check the resort map on the website.
Activities – a good range, we enjoyed the boat trip that runs at 3pm most days; they also did other water sports, quizzes, games etc
Food – overall very good. Soy (sushi) was particularly good as was La Jardiniere (French). Of the two you need to book, the steak in Butch’s was good; however Kimonos was less good for food although you do get the show, I wouldn’t stress if you can’t get booked in. The so-called English pub (no proper beer available) was a good place to go after dinner. Spices had decent buffet breakfasts and lunches.
Staff – 95% really good, friendly and helpful. Nolyn our server in Soy was excellent and Vincent, the Greeter was good too. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, buffet food in Spices was regularly replenished, gardens were immaculate. We asked for firmer pillows and they arrived within the hour.
Beach – very good, sandy and protected by an artificial breakwater
Transfer from airport – only 10 minutes which is a real bonus, and no issues with aircraft noise at the resort.
Departure process – we had an evening flight and were allowed a slightly later checkout – the departure “lounge” is just a shower room. Billing was accurate.
Annoyances – they don’t do what they say! If you have a rule then enforce it, otherwise don’t have the rule, for example: Some restaurants are stated as being “resort evening attire” however there were plenty in t-shirts, shorts and sneakers who should have been turned away. They state there is a sunbed protocol that after 11am unoccupied beds will be cleared, but they don’t do it, so selfish people put a towel down at 6am then don’t use the bed for most of the day. Saturday was particularly busy with hardly a free bed to be found anywhere. Don’t go if being “green” is your thing – water in plastic bottles and lots of food waste. I like a buffet as much as anybody, but they should use smaller plates so people eat what they take and could give each guest a reusable cup when they arrive to keep as a souvenir.
This was our second Sandals holiday – they are expensive but they get most things right for an all-inclusive holiday.

The South Seas walkout rooms don’t have steps when using the slider doors. Also the South Seas rondovals do not appear to have steps. The Pink Gin area has lots of steps and steeper inclines. When making your reservation, I would request no steps. I have always found them to be very accommodating.
There are more places to choose from in the Pink Gin Beach area.
