Although it is historical but it is not well renovated, rooms are dark and not suitable. The safavid and ghajar rooms are painted but not professionally and you feel moisture in them. You have to wait long time to find the reception
its one of the spectacular place in iran .its not only a hotel its a beautiful and peacefull place that make you feel ancient .it located in center of iran -north west of esfahan province ,in golpayegan .
The hotel service and facilities is poor however it has very nice and kind staff and they do their best for providing good experience for you. We stayed in double royal room in ground level. Despite of its name the room was small and dim with poor air conditioning and ventilation. Unfortunately only their royal rooms have double bed and others rooms are twin thus if you are a couple which you want double bed you are supposed to pay more and book royal rooms. In my opinion the only difference of regular room and royal rooms is their decoration and ornaments. Please consider that the hotel is open for visitors thus sometime the hotel garden is crowded and also you may have not privacy to open the window of your room specially in ground floor. Also some visitor are interested to see inside of rooms or take pictures with rooms windows. I think the first floor rooms have more privacy. Hotel has traditional tea house and restaurant. The price of food in hotel restaurant is high in relevant to other local restaurants but their Kebab was delicious.…
The hotel is located in an ancient castle with the same name in Googad city, just 5 kilometers out of Golpayegan. The castle is a very old monument which is restored as a hotel in 1999. The yard is very nice and the rooms are located in the yard and also second floor. The hotel is a 3 stars one so you shouldn't expect very high standards, the rooms are ok, the bathroom is not very modern and we had some problems with hot water, the wifi internet is very poor and we couldn't use it, the breakfast was good and the staff are kind and nice.
Googad is a small town close to Golpayegan city in Isfihan province, Iran. Golpayegan is famous for its traditional Kebab and Abgoosht (or dizi, which is a traditional favorite Iranian food). There are also remarkable tourism attraction in the city traditional Bazar, Mosque and the famous adobe/brick made tower. The tower is particularly interesting because it is made in the ancient silk road to guide the carevans. There is also an ancient pre-historic rock painting site and Moore national park near the city in which you can see Persian Gazelle in big number (probably better than other national parks), and also chance to see some Ibexes, wild sheep and if you are very lucky, wolves and hyina. It's also a good spot for bird watching. The hotel itself is so beautiful and cosy. It's completely inside an ancient castle once protecting the city's inhabitants and the carevans from foreign attacks and bandits. The Castel is rehabilitated and transformed into a hotel. It is so beautiful but not that original. You have almost all the expectations from a standard hotel with taste of a traditional carevans hostel. The restaurant was particularly good, prices were amazingly cheap. Rooms are big and comfortable. I had internet problem but I think it could be solved. So if you want to stay two days and two nights close to attractions that I mention it could be a good choice. Specially, this is the closest hotel to Moote national park. …
The 400 years old Arg is one of the largest mud and adobe building of Iran. 18 years ago converted into an Hotel. We had a great stay , beautiful room, good dinner, nice tea shop and very kind staff. Golpayegan has some nice historical monuments: a Seljuk period mosque and a 900 year old stand alone minaret. It is said the minaret was used for guiding caravans and a light was lit on top at night, for this purpose. In the neighborhood you can find 7000 year old beautiful rock paintings. Ideal stop on the way from Isfahan to Hamadan through the amazing Zagros mountains. .
Being in Arg-e Googad is not only being in a hotel or a restaurent. It is one of the 999 Carvansara made in the route of Silk Road ordered by Shah Abass Safavi (Safavid dynasty) about four hundred year ago in Iran. It is the second biggest clay monument in Iran after Arg-e Bam. The tourist who comes to the Arg, has to consider this important fact and the history behind it. I loved the place and enjoyed the time being there, trying to connect myself to the history when it was built.
the hotel is the restoration of an old famous castle used as a resident and defense area many years ago. its nice to be restored as a hotel. The missing point is basic standards and accommodation essentials. for example the air conditioning is very poor and the bathrooms are really missed. the hotel has also used expensive handicrafts for carpets and warns guests not to step on. this really strange. it is not a museum, its a guest room. The hotel is nice overall.
1. This place has been renovated for using as Hotel. 2. Beautiful place that can have good experience. 3. beautiful room design and good atmosphere in side area. 4. You can visit inside with take a ticket. it is very cheap for Iranian(10000Rs). But do not know what is price for foreigners.
