I stayed over at Firs cottage for 3 nights as was in the area for work. The host and cottage were both excellent. Mary was extremely kind and welcoming of me into her home, which has great views of the surrounding area and itself is very comforting. I was lucky enough to be back not long after lunch each day and...

Location and accommodation excellent. breakfast was a proper FULL English with home made jams, marmalade, conserve. Recommend it highly. With my birthday on the second day, Mary together with my family pulled all the stops out and threw a fantastic bubbly champagne breakfast. For the evening meals, Mary is very knowledgable of the locality and the food availability, she even...

We stayed with Mary when we were attending a wedding nearby. A lovely warm welcome and made to feel at home straight away...nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast ordered in the evening from a nice choice of options, bread and preserves were homemade, eggs from the farm next door.

I had a truly delightful 5 days at Firs Cottage. Mrs M went out of her way to bring this about: not only was her food and accommodation really good, but she was most helpful researching information relating to my particular interests (Welsh language and folk music). The lovely views over the Conwy valley, her beautiful garden and three gorgeous...

Thank you for taking the time to do such a lovely review of your stay with me at Firs Cottage. Running a B&B is a 2-way thing, a pleasant and interesting guest makes it all the more enjoyable for the host too! I had a great time doing the research, learnt a lot and I'm sorry I wasn't able to...

I've no idea why, but I have to admit, I have always been a bit sceptical of B&Bs and tend to choose a hotel over them. After staying at Firs Cottage however, it has completely changed my opinion and will definitely be back again if I'm ever wishing to stay in the area, forget the hotels! An extremely comfy bed,...

Stayed here last night to attend a family wedding down the road. Mary, is just a wonderful hostess. We were made to feel like part of her family. A very welcoming and friendly lady. Her B&B is an old cottage, which is steeped in character and history. Nothing was too much trouble for Mary. Even on a cold and wintery...

Firs Cottage and Mary certainly deserve their glowing reviews. After the excitement of Zip World, it was lovely to be welcomed into Mary's home and to relax with a nice cup of tea. Our room and bed was very comfortable. Mary suggested a number of places for us to eat that evening, and very kindly phoned our chosen venue and...

It was lovely to have you both here and I'm so glad you enjoyed 'Zip World'! Even the weather helped if I remember correctly! We are presently enjoying an Indian Summer in the Conwy Valley!

Firs Cottage was a perfect base for our climbing weekend in Snowdonia, with Mary an exemplary host. Notable examples of her hospitality included accommodating our very late arrival, some invaluable tips on route selection in the mountains, and a full English breakfast that was absolutely top drawer. Cannot recommend highly enough.
