We stumbled on to this lovely place today while driving through the valley. Only stayed for lunch but what an experience! It felt like an adventure following the signs further and further into the hills on the dirt road. When we arrived the place looked deserted but we were met and encouraged to head into the opening, through cavernous stone...

After a lovely stay last year, I decided to return this to this, indeed, lovely hotel located in the beautiful Tuscan hills. Big mistake...as it became a disappointing experience: - no longer the otherwise typical Italian warm welcome or hospitality, which was clearly reserved for the large group of Italian relatives of the owners which occupied the hotel - poor...

Beautiful location... Very nice helpful people, Stayed there for a long weekend. Excellent. Perfect we were sitting outside wrapped in a blanket at night enjoying a glass of wine looking at the stars. It is actually romantic. :-). Very nice rooms. We were invited to the launch dinner of their pasta range. :-) place was packed that night until then...

This place is absolutely amazing. The location is magnificent, the rooms clean and nice and spacious, the food is delicious, the staff very nice, the pool wonderful. Especially the long wooden tables and benches, with lavender on the tables, white tablecloth, having breakfast and dinner overlooking the beautiful landscape. We loved it!

We stayed at Tenuta Mocajo for one week in May and we couldn't have been more impressed with this lovely estate in the Tuscany hills. The views are exceptional and the peacefulness and tranquility are just what we needed. Marco and his friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. The food served in the dining room was delicious. We would...

We had read various comments about Tenuta Macajo...the winding and choppy dirt road leading to the hotel not being the least of these, so we were a little weary of what we might find. It turned out to be far less gruelling than expected. Nothing could have prepared us for such an incredibly wonderful experience! We were greeted as if...

For our first time visit to the notoriously beautiful Tuscany, my girlfriend and I stayed at the incredibly charming hill-side estate "Tenuta Mocajo". With its authentic architecture, stunning view of the natural scenery and genuinly friendly and helpful personnel, this very special Tuscan gem made quite an impression on us. The very bumpy ride uphill takes about 10 minutes. For...

Stayed for 2 nights July 2014. Simply, this is a great place for relaxing. Friendly service, nice pool-area, clean rooms, beautiful views, decent breakfast. Well situated close to Firenze, Volterra etc so definitely a serious alternative for vacation in Toscany. Having spent numerous holidays all over Tuscany, I wouldn't consider unfair stating that Tenuta Mocajo is one of the best...

We have just returned from 3 days here. Beautiful and romantic converted farm estate. Pool lovely. Views spectacular. Room simply furnished but bed very comfortable. Breakfast a little slow but who's rushing? Food excellent and the estate's red wine delicious and very reasonable (12 euros/ bottle for the Ligio served at dinner). Arrived at 10.30 but still had super meal....

We stayed one night in Mocajo in room 18. It is lovely, clean and very simply decorated, it could easily accept some more homely touches. It was quite cool in the night and we couldn't turn on the heating so robes & slippers would have made a great impact. The pool area was being finished during our visit and will...
