Located just north of Nantes on the N137 trunk road . Despite being near the road there is no noise as the rooms have double door insulation. Very friendly staff and the restaurant is top notch , room rates are significantly lower at weekends .

After such a great meal there last year we thought we would break our journey from Bordeaux in what was a delightfully charming, characterful hotel. I was so shocked what they have done to it, that as I walked through the terrible red metal box they have stuck on the entrance of the hotel and into the reception area, I... More

My family and I had an excellent stay here. We checked in late and had not pre booked. We were very impressed by the warm welcome and friendly staff. The hotel was nicely furbished and very clean. Breakfast had plenty of options and was well presented. The al fresco breakfast dining area by the pool was lovely.

We had had a long drive from Bordeaux and had been looking for somewhere to stop for some time when we saw the signs from the road so decided to give it a try. We arrived with five minutes to spare of the kitchen being closed for the night but were welcomed for dinner and even though we were at... More

We had a great overnight stay here, en route to the south of France. The room was comfortable, quiet and cool and the swimming pool was lovely and very peaceful, despite not being far from the main road. The restaurant was fantastic. An excellent meal at a very reasonable price, with really friendly service. They even printed out some documents... More

Not sure whether under different ownership but not spot on previous visits. Cliental mid week single business travellers and the hotel reflected this in the services offered. Not worth the price tag being charged. Stayed in a chalet room, the beds comfortable and free WiFi, bathroom could do with modernisation and addition of air con in these rooms. Dinner was... More

When it's getting dark, you've driven for 6 hours and you don't know where you will be staying, what a really pleasant surprise to find this lovely hotel and restaurant just a 5 minute detour from the motorway. Arriving at 9.15pm, hungry and tired, the manager took our food order and showed us to our room and then the restaurant.... More

We stayed at the Abreuvoir en route from Cherbourg to the Gironde. The Hotel was very easy to find - you can see it from the dual carriageway, I was a little concerned that we would be kept awake by traffic noise but the rooms were well soundproofed! The rooms were fairly basic but spotlessly clean. There was a heated... More

Stayed at the L'Abreuvoir with my daughter in August this year and have to say that the hotel is very good. The sauna and jacuzzi were not working but in no way did this affect the enjoyment of our stay here. All of the guys that work at the L'Abreuvoir are friendly and helpful and all of them went out... We booked this very late in the day to use as just a stopover on our journey back from the Gironde to Cherbourg. We were delayed by 2 hours on the Royan ferry and arrived at about 9:40. We didn't expect to be able to get a meal but were told the chef would wait for us to freshen up... More
