At Camping au Bois du Cé, many guests commend the campsite's proximity to Puy du Fou and secure surroundings, complementing the welcoming staff, although they note the atmosphere could be warmer. The cleanliness of the bungalows and facilities often receives high marks from visitors. While the location is generally appreciated for its scenic setting and ample space, the nearby road's noise is a noted drawback. Service at the campsite is regarded as friendly, yet some guests have experienced delays at the restaurant and issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. The value proposition receives mixed reviews, with certain services considered overpriced. Amenities like the swimming pool and entertainment options are well-liked, but guests suggest improvements in maintenance and Wi-Fi.

Stay week of 20/08/2024 in Bungalow 148 Oak:

The campsite is ideally located to visit the Vendée and Puy du Fou. It allows you to go to the park quickly (less than 10 minutes) and return in the evening before the night shows. Access to the campsite is secure and adapted to the schedule of Puy du fou shows which allows you to return even late. It is clearly a plus for the organization of the stay. The campsite offers many facilities such as games, entertainment and swimming pools and is very well arranged. Alleys are wooded and privacy very well respected. We were amazed at the calm that reigned in the campsite but also at the respect between travelers: no noise neither during the day nor at night, total respect and no nuisance even near the pool. The staff is extremely friendly and smiling and attentive during business hours and even more. We received many tips on tours and the area and when we had small problems, maintenance intervention could take place immediately within half an hour or less with perfect responsiveness. The Bungalow was clean and equipped as planned, in very good condition and very recent. At 5 people, it was comfortable and allowed to spend good times.

The campsite offers a very nice experience with great professionalism. Of course; nothing is perfect and I have listed below some points that are in no way derogatory but could improve the service even more:

· Wifi in the background of the campsite very weak and unfortunately absence of the 4 G. With 3 teenagers, it is a difficult point.

· Ping pong table to refresh?

· Very cold outdoor pool temperature but the sun was not often present

· Defect in the height of a Bungalow access staircase that makes the passage unsafe for fall risk.

In conclusion, I strongly recommend camping for a stay in the Vendée or to visit the puy du fou, it is family friendly, there are entertainment for all, the staff is caring and the quality is at the rendezvous. We will certainly come back to that.

Despite some positives (campsite close to Puy du fou, sands of olonne, wide opening hours of the pool, correct prices for the season) a lot of disappointment and things to improve. The campsite is no match for other 4 star campsites we have visited. We came eight years ago and nothing has moved, it's almost worse. The mobile home "tree" is correct but not modern, clean but with a strong smell of closed especially in the rooms. The toilets are windowless medium ventilated. A real furnace. On the service side a positive the Wifi is free but a very bad reception on the whole campsite and even worse inside the mobile home. Things to do, except the pool not much to do. The multisport field is in full sun so unusable in full summer,
There is only one ballpark which does not allow meetings between campers. The host was very friendly and did everything he could to offer some Things to do in the evening but in far from optimal working conditions, material that does not work bad connection for quizzes, blind test... Things to do in the afternoons to gather adult campers are lacking and especially nothing is thought for teenagers. The only space that allowed them to meet 8 years ago (billard, table football...) on the mezzanine of the snack is no longer accessible. The snack bar offers good pizzas and ice cream but on three orders of pancakes and waffles, we couldn't get a single hot one. We are generally quite disappointed with our stay which forced us to find outside Things to do on the budget side.

A nice well maintained and shaded campsite.
The pitches are very well defined and the numerous hedges allow to be quiet. The slight slope of the pitches requires wedges and can be problematic for large tents.
Breakfast in the buffet is nice (but Award a little high) and the sandwiches offered at very affordable Award for lunch are convenient.
Unfortunately, the indoor pool was not accessible because of a problem with the water test results when we were there.
Very close to Puy du Fou but be careful, on the road that leads directly so difficult to get out of the campsite at busy times... traffic jams or endless car passages.
We were even able to see the fireworks of the cinema.
I think we will have the opportunity to come back.
Too bad we were not told if there were any entertainment on the campsite beds of the reception, we saw that there was a lotto at the bar while walking to discover the evening of our arrival.

Great campsite, ideal for going to Puy du Fou 3km away. Swimming pool and various services at the expected level. Brewery 1km away with sales and tasting and ludylab in the village 1.7km away
For the Puy du Fou, we made the trip by bike with the children the first day via the old road which runs along the main road, but not lit for the return after the evening show, so car the next day.
I think that if the campsite offered a shuttle service, even for a fee, it could work well and would avoid returning cars late in the evening

close to Puy du Fou

It is a very good campsite for a stay at the Puy du Fou.
Spacious mobile home, like location , clean, well equipped.
The campsite was quiet, it was nice. The welcome very well. Sports equipment too.
Flats regarding the restaurant and the commercial policy of the establishment.
I have 2 children who do not tolerate certain foods and the removal of tomatoes and cheddar in Burgers is charged. I paid extra for something I didn’t get...
Paying more for more is normal. Paying more for less is twisted. I did not understand the process, the explanation being that putting fewer ingredients required more work...it will seem futile, but it remains in mind.
But otherwise they were good.
We ordered a pizza not very filled and with a very heavy dough and not super cooked.
This is a shame because it will leave a black spot on stay that would have been very nice.

Camping very well located close to the park 3km. Very good location separated by hedges. Clean sanitary facilities but sewer odors are sometimes perceptible and unpleasant. The wifi works at the top of the campsite but not at the bottom on our pitch nor the telephone. A grocery store is missing...

Superb campsite with indoor swimming pool a stone's throw from Puy du Fou. Chalet very well equipped and clean. The person at reception when I arrived was very kind and was able to check me in. We were able to have the keys at 12 p.m. when I arrived and we were able to put our luggage in the chalet and be able to fully enjoy Puy du Fou. 😃

A very quiet campsite, and very nice ideally located. The staff is very friendly and available. Motorhome pitches are very spacious. The campsite is very well maintained. Both the pool and the sanitary facilities are very clean. Two additional assets: the presence of a snack bar and the delivery of fresh bread and pastries every morning. This was our second stay at this campsite and we will come back with pleasure.

Ideally located, the campsite is very nice and the accommodation well equipped. The professional team is dynamic, smiling and attentive. We had a great stay and were able to enjoy the pool in April. Located 5 minutes from Puy du Fou, we could go home to eat in the evening before returning for the night show. Which was very appreciative because the pizzas, duck parmentier and Fish and chips were delicious. Everything is prepared with local products. THE campsite makes you discover small nuggets like the village bakery and its delicious Vendée brioche, or the Brasserie Mélusine located 5km away. We will return to the campsite as soon as possible.

We spent 6 days at the Bois du Cé , our choice was based on the proximity of Puy du fou , we went to the park by bike which was really convenient . Our location was perfect , delimited by beautiful hedges .There is everything you need in the campsite to have a good stay, the pool , the bar , the bread depot .The sanitary facilities are very clean with very hot water . But what we appreciated above all is the welcome and kindness of the whole team. A great and smiling team that make you feel good. Thank you all.
