Our stay here was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left (Sept 2019). The location of the resort was convenient, very close to the beach, downtown Karon, and the market place. Our room was beautiful we have zero complaints. We had a tropical "jungle" type of view which was amazing. The staff was all very polite, very helpful and were all very nice. We were treated so well here...Food was delicious! Thailand is BEAUTIFUL. We would most definitely stay here again without a doubt.
I stopped here for 10 nights and from the moment we got out the taxi we were in heaven. Drinks on arrival cool towels to refresh ourselves and they put a fan on next to us. We then got driven to our room everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was stunning and so spacious id class it as Luxury. They had put a fruit bowl I the room and a towel display on the bed for our anniversary 😍 The hotel has a shuttle bus to patong beach every day for a small amount of money cheaper than a taxi or tuk tuk. We made use of this a lot. They also offer a shuttle to the beach but we walked most days as it wasn't far and we quite liked the walk down there. Good location about 10 minute walk to Karon strip were a lot of bars and restaurants are. All in all I have a fantastic time here.…
This is the most fabulous hotel I have ever been too . The rooms are perfect nothing is to much trouble for the staff a little bit hilly but that helps with the views. Both restaurants serve extremely good food but the top one where you can sit outside with a little stream running by the side of you and the view of the sea in the distance makes you feel like your on top of the world. It’s only a short walk down to the beach and on the way are plenty of restaurants some with very good entertainment at night and very good food . All in all if you want perfection this is the place to go we will definitely be going back best holiday we have ever had
This hotel is simply amazing. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are treated like royalty. We booked a pool access room and were very lucky to be given one with the pool at the back of the room and a beautiful balcony with a sea view at the front. It was definitely worth booking the pool access room in my opinion. The room was so comfortable and well furnished. The pool bar was excellent and has a good selection of drinks and food and reasonably priced. There was also two happy hours a day. The breakfast was brilliant and meant we often didn’t have lunch as we were so full. We walked into Karon each evening, its a nice 15 minute walk although its a little hilly on the way back we didn’t find it too bad. And if we were feeling a bit tired the hotel will drive you back to your room from reception. We cant wait to visit again!…
We stayed her for a four-night cruise extension, and chose Mandarava resort for its peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort. We were not disappointed: beautiful small buildings each housing around four elegant, spacious and comfortable rooms, set in huge landscaped tropical gardens, with multiple swimming pools dotted around. Reception and the restaurant were housed in separate open-air buildings, to which you walked although bear in mind in some cases the distances are quite considerable, and when it rains (which it did frequently and very heavily in early December) you can get very wet indeed although umbrellas are provided in each room. The frequent downpours do massively increase both humidity levels and mosquito numbers in the dining building, so don't forget your insect repellent. It's worth noting that if you have any mobility issues, getting around the various levels of this hillside resort can be challenging, so asking for a room on the same level and close to the restaurant might be a good idea. There are however golf-carts to ferry guests around if you ask - nothing is too much trouble here, and the Reception team is outstanding. A regular shuttle service into the main resort is also provided free of charge - it's a ten-fifteen minute ride, or a thirty to forty minute walk, but again the terrain is hilly close to the resort. The restaurant food service is amazing, with special themed evenings where stunning, freshly-cooked food is served up by smiling, helpful chefs and waiting staff who all seem genuinely concerned to know you are happy with your food. We found everything faultless, although there can be quite a crush at breakfast at several pinch-points in the restaurant layout - my tip is to go in early and beat the 9am rush. Cost-wise, it's what you'd expect to pay in a top-end resort hotel. If you want cheap, you'd be better off elsewhere. We felt Karon Beach resort itself lacks character and, apart of course from the stunning beach and clear blue ocean, has nothing else remarkable about it. There seems to be endless massage parlours, excursion vendors and shops selling mass-produced beach gear, rather tacky souvenirs and clothing, although there is an interesting temple towards the back of the town and just around the corner from there we found a very nice, spotlessly clean, small restaurant called Karon Smile, with obliging staff and excellent food at reasonable prices served in air-conditioned premises. Overall we would return to the hotel because of the exceptional service, but would probably look for a resort which has rather more Thai authenticity.…
