This is a family run hotel and the owners are keen to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They are very helpful and obliging and are clearly proud and enthusiastic about the local area. Our room was spacious and clean with breathtaking and outstanding views of the mountains and the town right down to the sea at Tontino. The hotel... More

One of the best features is the breathtaking and outstanding views of the mountains, the valleys and the sea. The hotel is run by a lovely family who will go out of their way to help people and their guests. They're very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has beautiful decor with some traditional arts and crafts. We look forward to... More

We stayed one night in this comfortable hotel. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We asked for a room with a view and were not disappointed with the fantastic vista spread out before us from the 2nd floor. The room was simple, but spacious, immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. This place is worth a visit.

We enjoyed great hospitality and service. The room was very clean and spacious. They even took us on a complimentary trip to the nuraghe site up the mountain. The area around Ulassai is rich with relics from ancient times, easy to get to with walking and mountain bike trails or by car. A fantastic place, take a few days to... More

We stayed for 4 nights in this quaint little village hotel - this was probably a couple of days too long considering our interests. The family who own the hotel are friendly and their son speaks English (but he is about to go to university in Cagliari). There is a lot of information and maps for those who are interested... More

My wife and I stayed two nights at Su Marmuri for our honeymoon and cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone who is interested in spectacular places and in an inimitable experience of Sardinian hospitality. The proprietors could not be kinder people; they went to extraordinary lengths to make certain that our stay was comfortable and our visit to their... More

Loved this place! Owners of the hotel were very nice and the room fees included breakfast. This is somewhere you want to go if you're looking to get away from the polluted city-life and be surrounded by nature. Also, there's hiking, rock-climbing, beaches and a lot of driving areas to visit. Would definitely recommend this place, but go during the... More

Stayed at Su Marmuri for two nights whilst touring Sardinia in August. The journey up into the mountains from Arbatax was stunningly beautiful. This little hotel (the only hotel in Ulassi as far as I know) is a gem - not for the facilities, decor, or luxury but for the absolute pleasure of meeting the little guy who runs it!... More

Hotel Su Marmuri and Tonino is without doubt one of the best travel memories I have. Before we went to this sleepy little village called Ulassai we didn't know anything about the area and the hotel. When we left we knew almost everything there is to know about the area and Sardinian hospitality. When Tonino the hotel owner found out... More

I booked the Su Marmuri for the simple reason that is was the only affordable place I found on the web in Sardinia in high season one month before. The downside is its location, perhaps, as it is at least 30 minutes from the beach. But there are sights to see nearby, hiking, waterfalls( not in summer) and no restaurants... More
