Going to this Bed and Breakfast was the result of an overbooking problem at another establishment in Mutriku. What a beautiful accident!!!! We have never been to a location as beautiful as this one plus the rooms, though simple, are very clean and comfortable with very modern and practical en suite bathrooms. Moreover, Arantza, the person to welcome you, will...

A fantastic place with a stunning view over the bay of Biscay. The staff makes you feel like home and everything about the place makes you feel calm and relaxed. We enjoyed every minute of our 9 nights we stayed here in september. We had been here 1 night six years ago and ever since then wanted to go back....

Haitzalde is a gorgeous property with magnificent views. As others have noted, arriving at the property -- knowing exactly where to make that first turn up a one-lane road (that services traffic in two directions) -- is a bit confusing. And the inn keepers want to know what time you will arrive and they also want you to keep to...

Breathtaking views of the coastline from Bilbao to San Sebastián (weather permitting), and a cozy, modern setting with access to balconies and gardens. Upstairs room was small, but offered a pull-down ladder to a private balcony with views. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel and surroundings are the best! So quiet and peaceful, beautiful garden. Room was good, bathroom also. Good restaurant in the village, nice fifteen minute walk. Keep your window open to hear the sea when you are in your bed. Air smells like heaven.

What a view! Many hotels boast a good view, but all fall short of the mark in comparison to Haitzalde, 180* of ocean and nothing else, and 180* of beautiful hillside covered in trees and views down the coast as far as France. The hotel sits in huge grounds, with various seating and sunbathing spots, and a terrace where in...

I traveled here last summer with my mother. We chose the place due to the location, carefully looking at the maps. Once there, it came obvious that we had ended up in Haitzalde by some kind of magic. There wasn't just a room with a view, there was a sound and a feel and touch that made the experience unforgettable....
