I stayed here for one night while walking the Jakobsweg/Chemin de Saint Jacques from Trier to Metz. The room was a very basic hotel room but was clean and everything needed was provided. The highlight of my stay in Kedange however was the meal I had the in the restaurant. Perhaps it was the sheer hunger (I had walked 35km from Perl and arrived late in the evening), but the meal I had was one of the best I have had in a long time, and was well priced for a good restaurant meal in France. If you are doing the pilgrimage and have the option to spend a little bit more in some stages, this hotel is a good choice.

A good friend of mine got married and group of us booked the apartment at Hotel Restaurant de la Canner stay in. The hotel is set in a small village and is a short journey to the both neighbouring towns and the airport. I couldn't tell you now where the wedding was but I know that this too was a short twenty minute journey from the hotel. I visited during the summer months and although the hotel was a little warm during the day, in the evenings, it was lovely and cool. Upon our arrival, we had a saunter through the village and there are some very basic amenities such as a bakery, local shop and a bank. As this was a little village in France, English speaking people were hard to come by so I had to tap into my school French (so long ago!) so that I could order a meal at dinner time. This was absolutely fine as the staff were very patient and very understanding! A lovely little hotel in a lovely quiet part of France. Would recommend for a short stay and would like to visit again!

Nice place to stay for discover this part of France. Friendly stuff, but they don't speak in english really, anyway we got everything what we wished for, so no complain at all. The room are nice, familiar, basic, but this is what we searched for actually.

Located in a small typical french town. A nice 2 stories building, looks lika an american motel, parking lot infront of the room. Rooms are big enough and clean. Shower and restroom are seperated. Pets are allowed. Breakfast was ok, but the coffee could have been a little bit more fresh, when we arrived at 8.00 in the morning, it stood several hours on the warming plate.

but go further away. When our group got there the (at 5.30 pm) the rooms were not ready, so we were changed rooms but they were wrong. Finally, after attempt 3 we had a room. Beer was mega-expensive. Food was average (1 chap sent his back and refused to pay for it, a further one didn't get what he wanted - though the omelettes were OK!). Wouldn't stay again.
