We were a walk in one drizzly afternoon as we hiked a section of the GR10. The reviews have it right, msr and mdm Blanc are quietly efficient but not at all friendly. Rooms are basic but fine (pillows are awful). Food is simple and hearty, the establishment is very clean and well maintained; it is austere.

I have lodged in this establishment many times with spouse and two teeenage kids. And if you're on a budget and want to spend your money skiing as opposed to languishing, then this place is ideal. Situated in Bolquere village, it's about a 6km drive to the slopes at Pyrenees 2000. The hotel is spartan, but warm and clean and... More

Our host and hostess were quietly and calmly efficient though somewhat reserved. The room was clean and comfortable though could have done with more hooks on walls to hang things like jackets, bags etc. Our room had a cupboard-sized shower room with basin, challenging for those who are anything other than medium-sized! Breakfast was disappointingly unvaried but the evening meals... More

I stayed here with my daughter (7) and my brother and sister in-law and their two boys (6 & 8). We were at the hotel for 3 nights in February 2013. Parking at the hotel can be difficult when busy. The restaurant if fine, no more, no less (although coffee at breakfast was not up to French standards)! The staff... More

Friendly owner family, Mme Blanc speaks English. M. Blanc cooks local dishes. Peaceful location in the small Bolquere village (not in the winter sports center). Pleasant climate even in high summer. Easy access to many directions nearby. Tasty dinners - demipension (halfboard) highly recommended (only one other hotel-restaurant in the village). Small supermarket and postoffice in the vicinity. The cleaning... More
