My family and I had travelled from London to Marbella (1400 miles) by minibus on our annual trip of summer madness to the Costa del Sol. Whilst we had planned to arrive at the hotel in time enough to have a meal and a few drinks before bed, traffic in Madrid and elsewhere meant we were quite delayed. I called... More

We stayed here for one night while visiting the Sierra de las Nieves natural park. David gave us ample information on the village and the surrounding area. The room was spacious and warm, the heating having been thoughfully switched on earlier in the day. Dinner in the restaurant was everything you would expect from Cordon Bleu chef Ivan. The suckling... More

We stayed one night in this lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpfully. The room was clean and warm. A lovely place to stay. The drinks and food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and good quality.

We started our stay in the pueblo blanco (now painted azul) taking a cooking class with Ivan, the Chef/Owner of Hotel Bandeleros. David, the other owner, greeted us and provided us with many helpful tips about Spain, Andalucia, and the local region....Ivan, a Cordon Bleu trained chef, helped us prepare a meal of Ajo Blanco (the regional cold, white almond... We stayed at the Hotel Bandolero for three nights in October of 2013. It was a delightful experience. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the restaurant was absolutely splendid. Davis runs the hotel very efficiently and is a cordial, friendly host. Ivan is, simply put, a superb chef. This was one of the very best experiences we enjoyed... More

We stayed four nights in Hotel Bandolero, what a treat that was. David provided information and maps of the region as needed. Every time we stopped in the bar, there was the possibility of something tasty to eat as Ivan seemed always to be preparing some delicacy. Both David and Ivan were friendly hosts, we felt immediately comfortable. Our first... More

Arriving in Juzcar, the hotel is the first building you encounter, directly across the street from the tourist information kiosk. The entire village is painted blue, but the gorgeous flowers of the hotel patio and a hand-painted wall that reads Hotel Pitufo (apparently pitufo is Spanish for smurf) make it obvious that you've reached somewhere a little special. You really... More

Set in a beautiful area of mountains and valleys, Juzcar is quite a surprise when you first spot this "blue" village. After a walk around the village and a visit to the interesting tea rooms we were welcomed wholeheartedly by David at the Hotel Bandolero. As previous reviewers have said, the hotel is relatively new but has been constructed to... More

On our visit to Juzcar we made a point of stopping at the Hotel Bandolero for a snack. It was a Saturday and a very busy day. The waiting staff were working non stop but everyone was looked after and the food was simply delicious. Would definitely go back again.

What a wonderful place in the mountains of Andalucia. I wish we'd been able to stay longer, but we had to move on to the house we rented in Ronda. The food was out of this world - we drove back from Ronda for dinner one night, and our group of 4 feasted on Chef Ivan's celebrated suckling pig, which... More
