I can totally confirm all the previous positive feedback. The room was very clean, amazing interior design, very big with great atmosphere! Nicole is very nice, has an eye for beautiful things and has a great organizzation in menaging the rooms. The breakfast provided is minimal, I'd personally would improve a little bit with fresh fruit or juice to mantain...

Based in an old tollhouse from the Visconti family centuries ago; very warm welcome by Nicole (who is actually German); very special garage for my classic car at a nearby backyard; situated at a pedestrian cobble street but Nicole will guide you with your car before the door to drop your luggage; very caste-like interior; very nice bedroom with own...

We were simply looking for a place to stay convenient to, but away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Stresa and Lago Maggiore. The ancient town of Vogogna never entered our minds until a friend mentioned that we should stay at the Gabelliere. We are so glad we took her advise. The Gabelliere is a converted 600 year old...

Nice pension in old town on the border of a natural park Val Grande, only 15 minutes by car to Lago Maggiore. Near the pension is a very good restaurant and in the centre of town is good pizzeria. Very friendly and helpful staff, we got a map of the whole area, including the area around Lagio Maggiore. Our room...

We loved this charming inn in an interesting little medieval village, tucked in the mountains, but a short drive from Lago Maggiore and Lago Orta. The room we stayed in, No. 5, is beautifully furnished, spacious and has a modern bathroom. Best of all, there's a balcony with views overlooking ancient rooftops to the snow-capped mountains. Breakfast is simple--croissants and...

The Palazzo del Gabelliere is a wonderful converted palace in Vogogna. It has been stylishly converted and, while simple, is very comfortable. It's not a full service hotel so don't expect that, but it offers charming accomodation and amazing value within a short drive of Lago di Maggiore. Highly recommended!

Very much enjoyed staying here is thus very old building. Although it was November and the house is stone throughout it felt very cosy and was well heated. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. Nicole was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was brioche and croissants and Illy coffee was on tap. Park in the village centre and walk up...

Nice and comfortable room in the hearth of a small and cozy medieval village. Very friendly staff: Nicole (the owner) was extremely helpful and provided us with plenty of information on Vogogna, on where to eat, and on nearby sites of interest. OK breakfast, with machine-made coffee. Quite a good compromise for sleeping in a 14th century's building though!

we spend a day hiking in the mountains around macugnaga and tried to stay in a closeby agriturism but found it a bit run down and overpriced. looking at properties in the area we found this one with a high rating and a very low price. from the moment of the first contact till the moment we left, everything was...
