This was one of the hidden gems in our tour around the south of France. The location was excellent for access to at least 50% of the best parts of Provence. Away from the main town, no Vespas or tourist noise, just birds tweeting and the odd splash of someone in the pool. Perfect hosts prepared a Michelin star evening...

This is the place to explore Provence. Just look at the website homepage which has a good infographic of how central this place is to the explorations you will want to make. And, while relaxing between explorations, La Burlande offers wonderful tastes of Provence as Jenny Fajardo's authentic Provencial cuisine supplied from local markets amazes and pleases. And, the surroundings...

La Burlande is a B and B situated in the bushy surrounds of picturesque Paradou. GPS is strongly recommended to help guide you to its slightly hidden location down an unsealed road! Paradou is walking distance albeit a good 20-30 min hill descent. Add another 15-20 mins to walk into Mausanne. Essentially the guest accommodation is all located within one...

We were doing Provence without reservations this August and were disappointed to find most of our stays were in chambres d'hôtes that approached hotels in their appearances; they lacked personality; they weren't 'homey'. Then we discovered La Burlande! It was out-of-the-way on a daunting trail into the garrique that assured peace and quite. Jenny Fajardo greeted us with warmth and...

My stay at La Burlande was fantastic. The area was gorgeous and the bed and breakfast was located in a secluded area that was perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious, the room was clean and comfortable and my only complaint is that I couldn't stay longer.

We were fortunate to recieve a recommendation to stay at La Burlande during our visit to Provence. We spent two nights, and enjoyed Mme. Fajardo's extraordinary dinners and breakfasts. She was a gracious host. It was very quiet, with lovely gardens and a pool which we enjoyed with our daughter. Les Baux was a pleasant walk, about 3k along the road.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Burlande, a verdant oasis sheltered in the shadow of Les Baux, amidst Mediterranean countryside and olive trees, at a bend along a serendipitous gravel road. The house is wonderfully designed with quiet rooms looking out across private terraces with views onto the flower-filled gardens and lavish swimming pool. The décor and hospitality is most agreeable and relaxing. Mme Fajardo offers her guests a splendid breakfast. English is spoken here. ... more   less

“For travellers after a double, choose the ensuited room with the private balcony overlooking the pool.”

“The Blue Room and the Suite have private terraces that overlook the gardens and the pool, if you want a wonderful view. We had to change rooms (traveling without reservations!) and had the Explorer Room and her 'budget' Petite Chambre. Neither of these have views like the other rooms, but we were very satisfied and found both these rooms to our liking.”
