We stayed 3 days and 2 nights in this wonderful haven of peace in the middle of Cap Corse that is the most beautiful place on earth. Timeless break, total disconnection, delicious meals and also beautiful meetings every evening at the table.
The way Emmanuelle has given meaning to this magnificent heritage is admirable and inspiring. I want to go back in the middle of winter.

If you want a sleek modern hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you want to avoid the tourist hordes, if you want to wake up to the sound of church bells and birdsong and thousand-mile views of the sea, you could find no better place than Couvent de Pozzo.
Where to start? There's the country quiet. The flocks of swifts and swallows overhead. A big funky well-appointed kitchen. A central courtyard for family dinners. Umbrella pines backdropped by the sea. A large lawn overlooked by the convent's old bell tower. Two-foot-thick walls covered with old prints and artwork. Warm mediterranean breezes at dusk. Comfy beds, well-appointed bathrooms, a laundry room. A nearby bar in the local town and terrific restaurants, markets and bakeries in the shoreline town far below the convent. (The convent is several hundred feet above the sea.) The convent has a pool but the nearby beaches are a better option because the water is warm, sparsely populated and perfect for snorkelling.
And Emmanuelle is the perfect hostess - charming, helpful and a good cook if you prefer not to make your own meals. It's perfect for family trips, as ours was -- 15 of us stayed here for a week, ranging in ages from 2 to 65, and never did we feel cramped. Quite the opposite. It was the highlight of our month-long trip through France and Spain, and we hope to stay at the convent again in the years ahead, when the grandchildren start to arrive in numbers and our family is even larger.

We stayed at Couvent de Pozzo for several days while on our family trip to Corsica. We were so excited to have found this wonderful home. We were immediately drawn to it when we came across it on line and upon arrival we knew exactly why. It was perfect! The property, the location, the views, the history and of course last but not least our hostess Emmanuelle. She went out of her way to ensure our stay was wonderful and that our time in Corsica was well spent. Our teenage kids had an outstanding time, which says a lot. The breakfast every morning was wonderfully presented and plentiful. Coffee and water were always available to us through out the day. We enjoyed dinner one evening in the home, where local dishes were prepared. Everything she made was excellent! There is so much to do and see just with in walking distance. It's also a short drive to town and/or an excellent location for day trips around Cap Corse. The stay here, the property and everything about it is truly one of a kind. Family trip or for a romantic get away, this is a perfect place to stay. Special events, intimate get togethers would also be spectacular and enchanting here. So special, this is one of only a couple places in the world, I hope to return one day!

Pictures and words really cannot describe how lovely the Couvent is. This place is straight up out of a movie. The history is magical and i couldn't stop looking and wondering about how many years this place has been around.

Emanuelle (the host and cook) is outstanding. I wanted to sit in the kitchen with her as she cooked she is so kind and willing to tell you anything about the property. Her food is insane. I can tell her has studied for years to make the dishes she makes and she loves to see her gusts happy. Traveling to any other host after staying with Emanuelle was just not as good. She pours her heart and family heritage into the space and food.

Everything is very clean. Its hard to imagine that its been around as long as it has. I am a neat and clean freak and i felt so comfortable there. The garden setting at sunset is one of a kind as well as the pool. I love this place and will be dreaming of coming back!

Thank you Emanuelle

We stayed at Couvent de Pozzo for four nights in late September with my parents. Emmanuelle was a fabulous hostess, we had two rooms but an entire wing of her beautiful family home. Breakfast - served outside when weather permits - was extensive and I'd recommend also eating in to have more of Emanuelle's cooking. Would love to return.

We spent a long weekend in Couvent de Pozzo with friends, babies and kids. We had an excellent time: The covent is gorgeous, situated in a little village not far from Bastia. Very warm, welcoming hosts made us feel at home. The rooms were decorated with great taste, for an authentic Mediterranean feeling. There are great walks to make in the area, some even with kids. It's easier to rent a car if you want to visit around the covent.

We stayed for 3 days in Couvent de Pozzo and it was so great that we're already thinking of going back. I really recommend such a place: the house is really charming with a lot of antiquities and stories to tell, the view (especially from the Augusta's room) is amazing, and the swimming pool in the garden is like a dream. Emmanuelle - the host - was really welcoming, with lots of tips on what to do / where to eat in the area. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked by Emmanuelle, with only fresh & local dishes. A great place to stay, relax and discover Corsica.
