This place is not good value for money. Leaving you with more the feeling that your cash is more important than you. Not flexible and not listening to guest expectations. I was expecting more flexibility for an hostellerie of this rating.

We took a 5 day cooking class at Chateau. Patrick and his staff were incredible. The class was excellent and the food at the chateau restaurant was superb! The salmon and the beef tartar were delish!! All the lamb is perfect. The cheese tray is perfect. Not sure why the negative comments are expressed. If they had a problem they...

I have rated the hotel average because some of it was very good and some of it was very bad which sort of makes it average (?) On the negative side we were given a very cramped room which looked as if it was a furniture storage room. Lots of pieces of furniture were crammed into the room but we...

The terrace room was cold when I arrived, and the thermostat could not be controlled from the room. There were no phone instructions to reach the front desk, and pressing "0" did nothing. I went to the desk and asked that the temp be raised from 18C to 24C, but no, they would only put it up to 22C "That's...

A proper looking chateau olde world looking covered in wisteria and ivy well set back from the road but easy to get to from the motorway. We went for a suite overlooking the garden (108) and to say it was breath taking when you open the door is an understatement. Friendly staff, clean with a modern extension tastefully done at...

This charming place is what makes the French countryside so great. Far removed from the hassle of every-day life, you won’t find large crowds of stressed tourists here. All you get is peace and quiet… at a reasonable price. Nestled in a beautiful park near the small city of Mâcon; the southern gateway of the renowned Burgundy and Beaujolais wine...

Probably the whole stay of two nights was over shadowed by two main issues. The first was the constant, all pervading, and very strong sewage smell in the bedroom (room 403) which incidentally is an attic room with head room at about 1 meter 60. The second was the fact that the food prices are higher than a well known...

Superb food, special place, friendly staff. We stopped for one night having driven up from the South. Our room in the pigeonnier was cold being separate from the main buildings heating so we were given an alternative -the cardinal suite - which was amazing. Four-room suite with 25 foot square bedroom!. Even our cat had its own bedroom. Our meal...

A very friendly, efficient and relaxing place to stay. We were astounded by the quality of their towels, they were excellent and as we travel frequently towels are usually worn and threadbare. These were of a very high quality and reflect the overall attitude of the proprietor.
