My advice for anyone who is visiting the Dordogne: this is the place to stay. Gracious hosts Francoise and Jean-Claude made our visit so memorable. Hubby commented that it was like staying with a favorite aunt and uncle, and he was so right! Every item of the breakfast was home cooked/baked and even included eggs! The room was lovely, with... The description in TA is accurate - "refined, charming", plus relaxing, comfortable, quaint, with perhaps the best, most friendly and helpful owners we have encountered with B&B's. Jean-Claude and his wife Francois (sp?) were so friendly and welcoming from our arrival through our stay of 4 nights, each with a most DELICIOUS, SCRUMPTIOUS breakfast representing the best of French breakfast... We stayed at Le Petit Versailles for three nights in September. It was a delightful and very relaxing experience. Jean-Claude and Francoise were very welcoming and gracious. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. We recommend Le Petit Versailles to you without reservation!

We were lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous little 'hotel' for a couple of days in September and really wished we had booked longer! Fantastic spot, close enough to be able to walk into Beynac, but lovely and quiet and away from the crowds of tourists! The view through the French windows of our room was just beautiful. Jean-Claude... More

Five stars are not enough for Le Petit Versailles. The owners are fantastic; you are made to feel at home. Home made breakfasts are second to none. You are most certainly set up for the day! It is set in a very quiet location but close enough to walk into the village for your evening meal (although the return walk... More

Located a short but steep walk from the castle, it is a beautiful place to stay. Home made French breakfast was a real treat. Located high on the cliff above Beynac for great views of the town and valley. Excellent value for in a central location for sightseeing.

It is not often that we revisit a place in which we have previously stayed - after all this is a big world to discover! However the wonderful memories we had of the surroundings, the welcome, the breakfast, etc led us to return for another couple of nights with our daughter. We were not disappointed! Francoise and Jean-Claude are as... More

We had a wonderful 3 days staying with Francoise and Jean Claude who are very generous hosts and provide amazing and generous breakfasts that keep you going all day. The rooms represent good value for money with beautiful views over the Dordogne region of France.

Francoise and Jean-Claude took such good care with us. The Versailles room had a king size bed and a private balcony and was perfect. Breakfast each morning was exquisite and the room beautifully maintained. We did some smalls laundry one morning and left it in the shower to dry but Francoise took it all and hung it on her own... Francoise and Jean-Claude were amazing hosts. We stayed here for 5 days with friends in May and enjoyed wine each evening on the balcony overlooking the stunning Dordogne vista. Even though their French is limited, communication was fine as we all enjoyed practicing our English and French. They offered and made reservations each evening at restaurants in the area. Superb!...
