Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Nestled in a picturesque setting, TUI BLUE Los Gigantes garners appreciation for its serene vistas and proximity to local highlights. While the hardworking staff often receive accolades for their service, some guests have encountered issues with rudeness. The rooms, especially those with sea views, are a hit despite needing some refreshment. Opinions on value and cleanliness vary, with remarks about reasonable drink prices but also expensive extras. The hotel's atmosphere and entertainment offerings are considered lackluster, and while quieter sea-facing rooms are available, street noise can be an issue during events.

The hotel is fine apart from the sound proofing on carnival nights. We chose the hotel because it looked quiet and I was told it would be full of old people... Like me. However, on the 4th and 5th night the carnival came to town and the hotel overlooks the village Square... Which hosted music until 4 and 5 am. Almost everyone on the village side of the hotel had trouble sleeping. TUI know when carnival is and ought ensure that guests know. The poor rep looked very frazzled after all the complaints, it wasn't fair on her.

Horrendously noisy room overlooking the square. It is carnival week and last night the music went on until 5 am, so loud that we could not converse on the balcony or sleep indoors behind single glazed panels. The rooms on the other side had no noise but the hotel could not move us. Tip do not come 10 days after Shrove Tuesday unless you are a complete party animal.

We have stayed here many times. This is an adults only, 4-star hotel which is well kept with very friendly and attentive staff. The resort is small and much ore suited to older couples, with quiet bars and restaurants in walking distance. Los Gigantes has no beach worth a mention - so, again, if you like to spend time on a beach look at resorts further south. I would say that if you're looking for a hotel with good evening entertainment you may be disappointed - but if good, friendly service is more important then give it a try.

Visited the hotel los gigantes on Jan 14th-21st, hotel was lovely, room good, food good, but 5 days into holiday started with sickness and diarrhoea, felt dreadful, although a few other people said the same, it only lasted 24 hours with them, I was ill for a week after returning, and even went to GPS cos thought it might be food poisoning. Having read of different people's reviews about norovirus presume that's what it was. Obviously this is an ongoing problem, and the hotel and tui are aware of this, so why something can't be done, I'm not sure.Did plan to return, but don't think after all I've read, that will happen.I did inform tui on return, but because nothing showed up on my stool sample, didn't take any further. .

A very relaxing and spacious hotel, with amazing views in a great location. The staff were very professional, smartly dressed and very helpful across all of the departments in the hotel. The food was well presented, tasted great and there was a good selection. The public areas were very well maintained and gave a modern feel. We had a junior suite which was very spacious and clean it had a lovely refurbished bathroom with good toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the linen was good. Would I stay there again? Yes! What would make me give it 5 stars next time ?:- A few tweaks Our room was a little tired and really could do with up grading the fridge, wardrobes desk etc, although there was a tv in front of the Bed there was two sofas that looked at a blank wall. Perhaps some sound proofing? on the ceiling may reduce the noise level coming from the restaurant above (this generally started at 6am every morning and it was rather loud, constant scraping of chairs and trolleys being wheeled all the time) Lastly although blackout curtains are great for blocking out the sun, it mean that we had to keep them closed for most of the the time otherwise everyone that walked past could see in, perhaps you could introduce some sheer curtains as well, or separate the living room from the bed so the view can be enjoyed! All in all we had a great time, thank you

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time in January. We had a fantastic time, and are looking to book again for the same time next year. The food is of a good standard and variety, and the rooms are large with great showers. As for the sickness and diarrhoea situation, guests should take more ownership of washing their hands. My husband and I saw appalling amounts of people leaving the hotel toilets without washing their hands, and the hotel has hand sanitation stations everywhere. If there was a major problem at the hotel, it would have more levels of sickness or be shut down.

Had a super relaxed holiday enjoying the winter sunshine. We last visited pre-pandemic & it was lovely to return to the hotel. Room was beautiful & spotlessly clean. Food was great - huge buffet selection at breakfast and dinner. Lots of activities throughout the day from yoga to quizzes to cocktail classes, something for everyone. Can't wait to go back!

The hotel is beautifully situated. The rooms are very spacious & the bed was comfortable. Pillows were like a meringue - far too soft for us; we requested a firmer pillow after our first night & it was promptly delivered. The TUI reps were always visible - very pleasant & helpful if needed. We read lots of reviews saying the food was amazing: we cannot say the same. Hotel buffet food is what it is; we never went hungry & managed to eat something that we’d personally only describe as average. We enjoyed 1 fabulous meal during our 7 nights - at a local Spanish restaurant- Restaurant Jardin Del Sol - highly recommended. The entertainment was hit & miss: 1 standout singer is called Heart & Soul - he was the best of the week - others were somewhat mediocre. As always - the hotel has a policy in writing about not allowing sun beds to be reserved that was never enforced. Talking of which - they were THE most uncomfortable sun beds we’ve ever experienced. We enquired about paying E10 a day for one of the cabana style double sun beds only to find that there was no availability at all during our 7 night stay. Apparently regular visitors know to book these up in advance of their stay so we had no chance at all - a policy I think is dreadful. The sun beds they have need cushions that’s for sure - as my back can testify ! Los Gigantes itself is a very small resort - and it’s very hilly; tough going on my husbands arthritic knees ! It’s not the place to go if you have mobility issues. A lot of reference is made to a beautiful marina area very close to the hotel. We visited once at night and it was totally closed ( probably the time of year - January). We went back in the day; next to the marina is a large car park- along side the cars is where you sit!

Response from TUI BLUE Los Gigantes, Guest Services / Front Office at TUI BLUE Los Gigantes
Responded 3 weeks ago
Dear moiraa798, We are your kind review here on TripAdvisor and would like to thank you for having chosen TUI BLUE Los Gigantes for your vacation on Tenerife. We are sorry you did not that our facilities and services did not live up to your expectations We are sorry that you found the sun bed situation unpleasant, the Balinese Beds are very popular and most if the time fully booked. However, we have plenty of regular sunbeds throughout the entire hotel area - at both pools, the sundeck and gardens, so even if the hotel is fully booked there is one available for every guest. We hope you had a pleasant journey back home Kind regards
